Friendship, is it found on fabs.

Completly the opposite, i have made some fantastic friends via fab. When i joined i only knew one person on the site. I class some people ive met via fab as some of my closest friends

I agree it is quite addictive. Think friendship is there to be found but builds up slowly, takes time

We,ve made some good friends. That can actually be offputting sometimes if friendship becomes more apparent than the wish to have fun.

Sometimes spontaneous meets where respect and attraction is the case though.

All part of our learning curve

I have some great friends that I have made on here.. most I havent had any sexual contact with.. but are just people that I will talk to about anything really..

I kind fo agree with most of the above. I have been on here for ages now and have made a few realy great friends (both Male and Female) some I play with, others I don't.

I realy like the chat rooms for making friends with people as comunication is so instant.......

been on here two and a half years on and off and have some good friends. it depends what you want from fab. sure there are timewasters but in general its a great place for chat and fun and it always puts a smile on your face in more ways than one.

We have made great friends on here.

There are friends we will never play with, friends we have played with, friends we might play with, friends we meet regularly, and friends we dont see so often.

but they are all great friends.

Yep have met a lot of people through this site i class as friends

Some i dont see that often but do keep in contact

And some im regularly in contact with and meet not just for play either

Some ive known for years

And of course i met my girl through Fab as well

So my answer to your question is yes xx

I have met some lovely people, some via Fab and others in clubs, they share the same _iew of swinging as us. We have people who we can chat to about other things not linked to swinging.

Its how you define friends though. I have 3 very close girlfriends and other ex colleagues who I go out with and know details of my personal life. I class these as friends and I would never indulge in anything sexual with.

I have some people on fab that I play with who were more enjoyable and successful meets than others because we click personality wise.

I have talked to some people on fab whom I haven't played with but whom I have more in common with than others on the forum.

Whilst I really enjoy the company of these people I probably wouldn't pass personal information to them ie, my real name, the area I really live in or my childrens real names etc. Therefore these people are friends with Feebs the swinger rather than the whole package.

I always separate real life from swinging

We have met people we class as friends as we like then and we all get on. I always like to think that you can give someone the title of friend and avoid the close friend status. We just have some friends that we see more often than others.

Thats where the fab socials come in handy have met some great people and yes now do class them as friends. Fabs for me is a way to escape especially when kids are in bed. Fabs has a great community.

its nice if you can make friends with the people you speak to on here cause even if you don't want to meet for fun you can make good friends with like minded people

and i think that's good as personally non of my friends think about sex the same way as me

i have made some incredible friendships online, not just on here. there are people i would never play with, but who i will turn to for other things and also meet for coffee, nights out etc. even go to clubs with.

a case in point; a friend i made from another sites social is travelling up to sheffield this weekend for a social and while hes here i'll be introducing him to clubs. he'll come in on my couples card, though we both know we won't play together, and we are both ok at the potential prospect of watching each other play. but hes simply a good buddy who i can share this side of my life with.

i have nilla friends who know that i swing - not many, but some - and if we ever went to a club together (curiosity has been expressed) i doubt either of us would play. they simply don't understand why i swing, although they are very accepting of it and have even been introduced to the occasional playmate.

we all have people in our lives who are friends, but they are not all equal, they don't all share the same parts of our lives. this is how friendship works.

so yes i have fab friends. are the same as my nilla friends? no. would i want them to be? no. do they fill a gap in my life and help me out when i need someone and share in the joys, sadnesses and frustrations? yes. thats a friend to me, no matter how much or little of our lives we share, we share enough.

I think most probably come on here for no-strings fuck friends which does not fit in with most people's "norm" of friendship but is friendship nevertheless.

That said, there are surely "real" friendships and even love to be found here. If it happens, it happens.

I've chatted to a few people who I hope in future will make the jump from chat buddy to friend, but I am grateful to Fab for introducing me to one person who has become very special to me in ways that I didn't expect (or look) to find here at all

Some friends have known from more or less day one, some are much more recent, all mean a lot.

Some take the piss out of me, some I've been there for through good and bad, some I've laughed and cried with.

Friends though and that means a lot to me.

No elastic was harmed during the writing of this thread

Met many people, played with a few and made friends with a handful. I... we tend to keep vertical and horizontal friends apart though and find that different friendships, swinging or conventional, focus on different things and sometimes the interests overlap, sometimes they dont.
