I've an old bloke who I have to work with. He's in his 50s, never had a girlfriend in the 30 odd years he's worked there. Most miserable cunt I know. Now and then I try making him laugh. I'm sure it cracks his skin

I work for an independent company - and unfortunately the manager is also a massive cunt

There's no one to talk to about it.

My last boss was a bit if a cnut but at least he was consistent and knew his job. His replacement tries to be all matey and dithers too much and totally inconsistent. .. to be honest I'd prefer having the cnut back as we knew where we were with him.

My captain is a micromanager, the only way he stops is when I stop and make him have to tell me to do EVERYTHING, so much he can't do his job, he stops for a couple of weeks and slowly it creeps back in

I used to have a boss like that, put up with it for years because he made me doubt myself so much that I didn't have the confidence in my ability to get another job...I got headhunted by an old manager and have never been happier at work. Got a higher wage as well which was an added bonus

On the other side of the scale, I am a manager of girls, 20 somethings, self entitled, lazy. And then cried to my boss when I put them on performance management, who basically told them step up, or ship out.

It is not for the faint of heart. If they put as much effort into their job as they do their moaning i'd be happy

Work with a guy who says he holds the entire factory up, while simultaneously not doing his job in as many ways possible. In fact work gets better when he isn't there, which is quite often because he pulls sickies a lot

Is it worth joining a union? then log any incidents etc, keep a record.

You will have a comprehensive log of details then.

Started a new job and been here 11 weeks. First two weeks I had 9 complaints against me which included i was doing the following:

• I yawned in a meeting once

• I clicked my pen too often

• I was on my computer (the role is an office job so I mean everything we do is on the chuffing computer!)

• And many more petty things.

Well now the women who were causing the issue have been fired for doing everyones nut in. Now it’s just me with an insane workload but a office to myself

Take a deep breath and never stoop to her level.change is a scary thing to me and have spent far to much time avoiding them. Now it scares me just the same but i move towards change ( slowly maybe but its a move) i keep in mind why im changing these things. Eg changing the job might be scary, looking for a new one , the new people that you will be working with . But ...but imagin waking up for work and not hating the cunts befor you even get there, imagin looking forward to seeing a work mate. Imagin the smile the change could bring. Then with that thought it dosent seem so scary at all.

My boss is at the top of the pile in cuntiness I’ve never worked for someone who can’t keep the same trajectory for more than a few weeks until he gets bored and changes his mind. sadly there’s no one really managing him to point out what an idiot he is but it has come out that he does have a reputation. I’ve learned to play the game but I’m also on the hunt before he damages my career. If I make it that far up the ladder I shall make damn sure not to follow that model!

We have a guy at work who thinks the sun shines out of his own arse, can't seem to do wrong yet he constantly fucks up jobs. Worse still despite that he completely doesn't give a fuck the office seems to think the sun shines out of his arse.

Even wise he's only 24 but thinks he knows everything.

I have one, just the same, and they gave me my cards two weeks last Wednesday

But I was already looking for work elsewhere, and had a phone call the very next morning with a job offer and much better conditions
