a world of her own

Gods, so so many...

November Rain, but the Ghetto Blaster Ltd dubby version. Eva Cassidy singing Time After Time. Scientas by The Shamen, Melt by Leftfield. Loads of Floyd songs, loads of Hawkwind songs.

A lot of Simon and Garfunkel songs, Untogether by Belly. Get What You Give by New Radicals, that one always perks up my inner "Fuck it, chin up, keep going". Adagio for strings in G minor (that park bench piece from Butterflies, for those who remember it). Beautiful World by James Morrison. You Learn by Alanis Morissette.

I could write all night. Often it's not really a song but a particular line or hook that really touches me, can put a stupid grin on my face or have me sobbing.

Music is one thing that can unite so many disparate people, one of very few constants in my life. I would not be without it.

Kelly and Ozzy Osbourne - Changes

Lily Allen's version of somewhere only we know. There's a brilliant live version from a French chat show on YouTube.
