GIVING rabbits lettuce to eat is like feeding them drugs, pet experts have warned.

Some varieties, especially iceberg, contain lactucarium, a chemical known as “rabbit opium”, which gets them high.

Who'd have thunk it!

East Yorkshire

I'm gonna go and buy a load of lettuces now and scatter them in the fields just round the corner and watch all the bunnies get stoned and turn into Dylan from the magic roundabout.

I will become their dealer and have cute bunnies knocking on my door at all times of the day!
