I am, to an extent but don't have a DA. I need to get my car thoroughly detailed now as it's a second car so I can let the person take their time over it.

N.E Lincolnshire

I have been into car detailing for a few years now. I have a Audi A4 boring car now but looking to build another racecar later in the year.

Hubby is a complete maniac, both cars and the motorbike are cleaner and shinier when they were new. If you ever need evidence removing from a car he’d be able to do it!

I’ve even caught him with all the seats out to properly clean the carpets, bringing parts inside to clean, parts snuck in the dishwasher etc.

I said that too, when I saw the Ducati cylinder heads and cases in the dishwasher for “paint prep”

Problem is. Once you detail it, doesn’t last very long to be honest. Need to end up doing it again.

Meant to be doing my car today. Perfect weather for it.

No really. If I clay bar mine, then polish and wax it, it just needs service washes for a good few months with the odd extra coating of wax.

Won't be doing mine today as the car is black and it's sunny. Plus I royally cba lol.

When I've done mine fully and stand back to admire, it looks absolutely stunning. For 10 minutes until dust settles on it again

Claybar and DA polish just before winter gets to cold, then a good wax then as said keep on top of washing and re apply wax when needed in a warm garage.

A lot of people get confused over wax and polish.

Well, as I currently have the engine and gearbox out of the Firebird for rebuild, it only seems right to make them look sweet. Going to paint the block, heads and the gearbox, and polish most of the other parts.

Yeah, need to get myself a clay bar.

That would be easy to do on my current car. Not as big as my other one. That used to take foreverrrrrr

This is something I’m really into. I’ve done mobile valeting for a living a while ago and I’ve got more into detailing and paint correction recently and thinking of getting into it as a business again.
