Couples with singles accounts

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

There are quite a few newly formed couples knocking around the forums of late and as is natural, they open couples accounts. Fairly often these couples run concurrently with the existing singles accounts, at least for a while.

My question is this; do people have an issue with this? Is it confusing when couples have singles accounts as well as a couples one? Is there a greater issue that people have or is it simply a case that it makes little to no difference?

We met on here, both still have our singles accounts. We very rarely use them these days, mostly if we both want to chat in the chat rooms at the same time.

We don’t see it as a problem.

I have absolutely no issue with it as it is perfectly reasonable for 2 people to run 3 profiles to suit different circumstances.

Woe betide a singleton who does though...

To be honest we usually only play with like minded people, so we rarely end up playing with couples that have single accounts as well. We play as a couple and tend to play with couples that only play together also. Not that anyone is ruled out, but that’s the way it normally ends up being like. We’ve also tried with fb’s too and that’s not worked for us either.

We prefer if they make reference to their couples account on their single ones and vis versa. Many don't which makes us think maybe they are not being honest with each other, tho it is up to them how they play.

I guess it depends on how you're using the profiles.

I don't really use my singles profile anymore, I still have it but as I've no intention whatsoever meeting as a single at the moment I don't see the point or relevance in using it. I think it will cause confusion or waste the time of people who may want to meet or message Princess Peach.

I have however used that profile to comment on the forum if it's been a subject that has had more relevance to that profile, or to get my point across as Peach.. my point well and truly across, but one that is solely my perspective and view and not held by B.

Can couples log into their profile from 2 locations at the same time? say if one is away through work?

We’ve tried it and it doesn’t work. If logged in on one device it boots you out when the same account is logged in on a different device. Hence why it can be useful for some to have singles accounts sometimes

I take less notice of couples profiles, (except Lacey and Sam) cause I don’t know which one is doing the commenting. They seem to lack humour and take things a bit serious, (except Sam and Lacey).

Couples are usually a bit lovey dovey and rarely say anything interesting, or it’s just the bloke having a whinge.

It's not something I'd notice really... unless they had the same avatar. I don't get why couples who also have single accounts would use their couple account on the forum though. I have no problem with people having single and couples accounts.

This makes sense if they are a new couple or meet separately. I am also part of a couple on here but have this account to meet alone.

When posting from the couple account we try to remember to add our name, so as not to confuse people.

I have my single account, so does my partner. We also have a Couples account. We were both on here as singles when we met on here. The couples account is useful for our joint fab activity as a couple and for people who are intrested in us as a couple. But we are also sovereign individuals with our seperate views, opinions and activities. So it's natural that we have representation as individuals and as a couple to reflect the ways in which we use fab. If people take the time to read the profiles they'll have no confusion.

Also as so many with singles accounts are not actually single, maybe they should change the category from single to individual (or something like that)?

This is something of a fab paradox. Because if a guy who is meeting people on his own uses his couples profile to do so he is accused of being a fake couples profile.

If he creates a singles profile to do so, he's apparently breaking the rules.

Can't win.

We both have our single accounts as well as this one and occasionally comment on those, but mainly on this one! We only really meet as a couple so that's why we use this profile more.... and I always put PT at the end so people know it's me, the female, commenting!

I don't see its a problem how people use their profiles!! So many seem to judge how people use this site.... Why can't we have joint profiles?...why can't we LPP all over the show if we want to?....but likewise why can't we comment as our singles account?... Just let people be!!

A TS is a transsexual, someone who is transitioning from one gender to another. In the case of a MtoF why would they have a male profile if they're transitioning to a female?

A TV is a transvestite, a man who dresses as a woman, may even identify as a woman, but not in female apparel permanently. They might two profiles.

That's really not very usual. A cross-dressing one and a male/female one perhaps. Since tv/ts are lumped together it's difficult to ascertain what is being referred to. I personally don't believe it's anyone's business if people have TV accounts as well.

I wasn't allowed to use Forum under two different accounts, so I don't see why others should. I had the decency to ask first, because I thought it could be seen as deceptive, even though that was never my intention.

The Forum moral mob seem to have little objection, neither do I personally. If it's stated in your profile text that you're coupled up and not actually single, I can't see why ANYONE could have an issue with it.

If it's not.. Are they any better than the "Fabstraight" Men that everyone loves to knock and mock for profile dishonesty?

I asked because I'm not that type of person. Only commented once or twice to myself on my own thread, because I was bored and thought it funny. Then once by accident. So I explained the situation to a Mod, came to same decision as them, shouldn't be allowed at all.

Me and my bf both have single accounts as well as a couples one. We both have the access to the couples one so we can chat to who ever we want so we can meet as a couple not just singles

"I wasn't allowed to use Forum under two different accounts, so I don't see why others should.

I think not, though again, I don't have an issue with it. It's not hard to figure out who is with who, if you care enough to find out.

Ouch.. that doesn't seem fair these profile rules are far from clear.. I've no idea what they are now!

Depends on the context of the profiles though. If it was cixi and you as an example I don't see an issue..deliberately being deceptive is not ok, but personalities are often multifaceted and complex. Not everyone fits into a box..

I think it’s a good idea those with more than one profile to reference it.

For example I don’t want to meet a ‘Single Man’ only to discover later he’s part of a Fab Couple.

As for the forums, it’s not an issue although I do think it’s weird when you start having multi-way conversations between all your profiles. Or if you’re both using the couple one to talk to each other though that on a thread.

We have both a couples profile and single ones. We reference our couples profile on the single ones but not the other way round as we don't feel the need. We mainly post on the forums on our individual profile as we both enjoy posting regularly and have different styles and use the forums in different ways.

"I don't see the point of these couples having a profile together unless they are using it to arrange meets..

If its just to chat whilst not meeting stick to your single profile "

We use our couples profile for clubs, parties and socials. We use our single profiles for the forums. On all profiles we make it very clear what we are looking for.

I’ve had my single profile and a couples profile on several occasions. I have a defunct couples profile now that I need to delete. It’s never been an issue, although I have had to photoverify this account and the couples account for the first time ever. It makes sense to me that you can have different accounts for different purposes. It seems odd that Fab would say this isn’t allowed.

I don't know, I don't pay subs. If it's against the rules.. Then I guess you're lucky to keep one at all.

up above the streets and houses

I don’t mind if the ‘singles’ are honest from the start of the conversation but I find that a lot of men have been chatting away and then drop in conversation their bi curious partners... seems a bit deceitful? I also don’t like the single female profiles who then announce they have a partner who always accompanies them to meets... also seems deceitful to me

"There are quite a few newly formed couples knocking around the forums of late and as is natural, they open couples accounts. Fairly often these couples run concurrently with the existing singles accounts, at least for a while.

My question is this; do people have an issue with this? Is it confusing when couples have singles accounts as well as a couples one? Is there a greater issue that people have or is it simply a case that it makes little to no difference?

Yeah, they shouldn't be on a single profile if they're not meeting on their own.

I'm married to a tv kinkster on here, Jenny-TV. We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary later this year.

We have separate profiles on fab, simply because we do not meet nor play together with others.

We may travel and attend the same clubs together but that is it, our kinks clash, never the twain shall meet.

Neither of us makes a secret of it. We're both too old to be bothered with that malarkey, keeping up with lies seems too much like hard work.

Take us separately or leave us. No approval sought or needed, it is quite simply our separate thing.

Where does it say that? If people have different meet criteria then they can be both single and couple meeters.

I can't find anywhere it does.. but was said to us...

By who tho? I thought you could as long as you use different email addresses. "

It isn't true, people can have multiple profiles, ie single and couple, you just can't use the profiles to deceive anyone

As my other post, people are not allowed two profiles to deceive, ie pretend you are not the same person

To the OP...people are allowed other profiles but on the forums they can't post on multiple profiles to deceive..ie pretend they are someone else or use another profile to answer themselves, cause rows, reinforce their views that they have made on one profile by using a second one etc

It is confusing for mods as much as it is for users, so if you think multiple profiles are being used for any of the above please report.

For anyone else, if you have an issue with a decision Admin have made, speak to them through the contact button if you are not happy as giving wrong information on the forum is confusing for people
