"I like to walk and it is my nr1 choice for cardio. I use the samsung health app to track the steps. I aim for 10000 steps aday, yesterday it was one of my record days. I walked for 200min and 19000 step " I use Garmin, counts lower than fit bit and Samsung, I vary between 8 and 25 k And its NOT cardio , it is however excellent for fat loss Cardio is exactly that any exercises that train the heart , often above 150 bpm

"Not a clue My watch gets confused! I have a Samsung Gear, records everything else brilliantly, but steps are way out. I do a 5km uphill walk 3times a week on the treadmill, it never records the full steps, One day last week, I'd spent 9hrs driving, then the rest of the day in a small bungalow, but I'd done several 1000 steps more than an average day? " Stop doing the gear stick thing with your steppy hand.

" I've got the Samsung watch as well. It doesn't track cycling, spinning etc as steps that's just walking. I do use the exercise icon for these but on mine steps are steps weird. I'm a lazy ass for walking only achieve about 7000 on a good day.

"We all know the wrist band counter counts a step whenever you scratch your bits, and I learned from this thread that the phone counts steps when you are in the bath. Has anyone run both and viewed the discrepancy? " My mate has a fitbit and I watch the counter go up as she lifts her coffee mug. I tried MapMyWalk and that seemed more realistic, tracking my actual location. Got to remember to turn it off when I'm driving.

" well I’m finally out the bath and managed to get my steps from 29 to 40! Suppose it helps if your phones with you and not left on the worktop too!" Hahaha 321 !
