A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love

In the war between me and Morrisons self serve check outs I only had 4 items it told me after each item to wait for assistance

It would have been quicker to wait for a nice person at a till

BOLDON COLLIERY

when Mrs scouse does her shopping at Morrisons and heads for the self service tills the word goes round the staff to draw lots to stand by her

one time I was doing the shopping after work and every time I passed some thing over the scanner the self service till came up with unknown item

after totally baffling the staff, I realised it was scanning my work id badge hanging down

I avoid them, I once left the shopping at one because it was playing up. They're fecking useless and a shoplifters dream!

self service is great when real money is short and your buying using the penny jar.. i brought a loaf of bread and some milk and put all my pennies in lol took about 20 mins,, but you try and pay at a maned till with pennies. lol

To be honest, I quite like them. I usually rarely buy more than one or two items and I've never had a problem with the scanner

I refuse to use them, it's just another excuse to stop employing people. The super markets make huge profits already. So I say boycott them

I do like them, they're generally quicker than queueing up to a real person, and I'm usually only picking up a few things and they're pretty straight forward once you get used to them.

However, recently, when the 11 items till is being manned, people are still queueing up for the self-serve?! So I just go through there and get served straight away.

There was a programme on the TV a while back, they were looking at those self serve tills and did time comparisons - in every case it was quicker to go through the staffed checkout

Apparently they save the Supermarkets millions already in wages and they want to phase them in completely.

Always use people and if like b&q they have no people i get a manager down. Its too much hassle if they are not going to give discount.
