It is about 2 inches long, and can only really be seen when I smile or I have caught the sun, but I wouldn't mind finding one of these creams that can reduce things like this, any recommendations?

Bio oil claims to do this but research shows that massaging any oil into a scar could help reduce it. Apparently it's the massage rather than the actual oil. Although I don't recommend Castrol GTX

I rubbed vaseline on my son’s facial scar when it had healed properly. I use vaseline for all sorts, it’s fab.

I used aloe Vera on my (non facial) scar when it seemed to be taking longer than it should to heal.

I’m a carpenter had few really bad cuts use Aloe Vera from the plant heals really well and soothes the cut too

How old of a scar is it? If it's really old exfoliating the area will help even everything out as taking away dead skin promotes skin recovery.

The moisturising and massage action will help lesson healed up scars (don't go oiling up and massaging shit that ain't healed up)

Pressure dressings can help reduce scarring on recent injuries but A&E should have sorted that.

Try using a bullet type vibrator on the area to promote circulation and blood flow into the area.

Apart from 'vanity' I can see why you'd want a facial scar reducing or hiding, people are quite judgy a mate of mine got slashed really badly when he was a teen resulting in a massive scar and people often give him funny looks, he also says he thinks it intimidates people as it makes him look thugish. However he was the victim and at the time was t doing anything to provoke the attack

Many years ago, I (Hev) had a thing going with a lad in a nightclub for months, we had sex in a field. He had been in a fire and one side of his face was very badly scarred. He was a lovely bloke, we had loads of laughs and fun. I never took much notice of the scar. We only didn't get togther because I already had a partner and was cheating. Scars are just cosmetic, it's the person inside who is important xx

Agree with all the above but if it makes you feel self conscious why not try to reduce it. Exfoliating it (if it’s old) will smoothen the edges making it less visible. Bephanthene also do a cream for scar reduction. A friend of mine uses it and says it works.

Exfoliation is great, but use a gentle product as you don't want to do more damage and some scrubs are terrible for your skin.

Also, chemical skincare could really help. Retinol is incredible for helping with skin texture and could do amazing things for your scar. You need to start with a low dose as it can make your skin very sensitive if you're in the sun. I think even salicylic acid would be great for you as it helps to even skin.

I would recommend emailing or messaging Bravura or The Ordinary on Facebook. If you tell them the problem you've got they will send you a message back with lots of advice and a list of products they recommend. And they are very affordable too!

You could try...collagen gel or decleor prolegine gel...depending on you budget or even viscous eye gel on prescription is good for scarring
