An odious manner, particularly via internet communication. I'm sure those who act this may not realise how limiting it makes understanding others. Except they think it's cool or simply right to put down other people's efforts at speaking out?

We all do it sadly sometimes and how we are viewed is often out of our hands because ppl see what they want to see in us, not always what we intend to project....

....depending on what previous conversations you've had on here OP even this post could be view as PA, as could my reply! It's a tricky one in a forum because a lot of ppl are up for a scrap before you've even let loose a breath, innit...

Internet communications - I've had many! Once I learned the phrase I noticed it's why so many threads end up as a bg brawl!

My current concern is a particular 'friend' who so obviously is that. Time to move on.

I did some really good training recently with work on communication, and in a regular face to face conversation, they say, only 3 % of communication is verbal, so in text you're missing out on all that beautiful non-verbal and para-verbal communication! And if you're unaware of this and think that in real face to face life you're a great communicator but don't understand why you come to fab and and ppl behave a certain way, then often it's time to look at your text and consider what the other person really means on theirs and what sort of a day they're having too, innit

Oh, one other point, occasionally ppl might choose to use passive aggressive in a quite understandable way because we can't always speak our mind in here. For example if someone says something I think is utterly disgusting, bullying or just plain nasty, I'll often refer to them as "friend" or "buddy" to let them know I'm disgusted but hopefully at the same time they'll see I'm above a full blown melt down argument etc....
