Is your earliest memory a good one?

Does the oldest memory you have feel good? Do you think it's idealised with the passing of time? Or did it just suck so much at the time you can't shake it?

My earliest memory is of two of my half sisters sitting on the top bunk of a bunk bed & whispering to each other. The sense of exclusion it generated stuck with me my whole life & I bent over backwards to try & be part of their club for years & years.

Until I met D, who made me realise I was enough without them, and the family I craved could be chosen by me, and not dictated by blood. Now my family are the people that I love & love me back, and I haven't seen my toxic blood relatives for years.

Wow, that brought up some emotion! Deep for 1:30am on a Monday

My earliest memory is of laying on the floor looking at my grandmother's cat which seemed huge to me. I know I couldn't walk so must have been under 11 months old. It's neither happy nor sad. My next memory is sitting at the end of my brother's pram in the kitchen and the whole thing tipping over that's sad lol but remembering my mum putting a plate of gravy in front of my soft toy to tempt me to eat is happy

My first memory is of the day we moved in down south ... mum didn't believe me so I described it to her and she omg thats it exactly, I was nearly 2!

I remember being washed in our kitchen sink. I can still remember the feel of the steel under me, the warm water, and that it was nice and bright outside.

I think my earliest memory is of me out In the garden of our house in Germany. I would have been about 5. I have a few from that time but this is possibly the earliest.

I’ve got two and I’m not sure which is earliest. One is good, setting off on my first ever holiday, and the other is me falling over an cutting my eye socket on a chest of drawers and going to hospital.
