I personally do regret things and don’t find it unhealthy to do so, what are people’s thoughts?

I think it's useful to regret things you've done so you don't do them again. I don't think it's useful to hold on to regret and keep going over it.

I never believe anyone who says they have no regrets.

There's always going to be something you regret doing or not doing, but as long as you learn from it it's not a wasted experience.

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Everyone regrets something they've said or done at some point.

Whoever says they never have regrets is either a liar or a true sociopath.

Exactly, it’s a good thing to regret, it means you can learn from your mistakes

Manchester (she/her)

Mixed bag. Sometimes necessary, sometimes lingers too long and becomes corrosive.

So would it be fair to say ‘regrets’ and ‘mistakes’ are almost the same thing? I feel like without regretting something, you can’t acknowledge having made a mistake, surely a mistake is a direct acknowledgment of having realised you regret doing something??

No. They probably should go together, but some people regret where there's no need, and others make mistakes that they should regret.

The personal feeling of regret I think is different from the feeling of making a mistake.

Regret can stay with you for a long time

I find it hard to tell the difference
