GOT sequel ideas (spoilers as well)

So we know that a prequel is being scripted at the moment.

But apparently theres five spin off shows being put together. How many of them will actually happen, I don’t know.

I’ve already said I’d like a sequel with the next generation of people; who is king after Bran? Who will run the North if there isn’t a Stark after Sansa? (Although I think she should marry someone lower born than herself and change the rules so that her Stark name will continue - she is Queen after all).

So that’s what I’d like to see. The aftermath.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime) has said he’d like a sequel following Arya, and seeing what adventures she’d get up to.

This crossed my mind as well and I think it would be pretty cool.

What prequel or sequel or spin off would you like to see from the show, if any?

I'd like a prequel focusing on The Brotherhood Without Banners.

Don't know why, but I bloody loved those dudes - would like more mystical scrapes and scraps with the Westerosi anarchists.

I think I'd prefer it if they didn't do any. The writing of the show declined when they run out of source material so I don't feel confident they would do the characters justice.

I want to see Roberts Rebellion and the lead up to it.

I'd like to see what Arya gets upto, but I think the actress will move on from GoT

I think I’d like that too, but I’ve also read so much about it that I dunno if I’d enjoy seeing it. But then again, I had read the books, and enjoyed the show, so I probably would

Before this season I would have loved to see what Bran got the fuck up to, I found his chapters in the book boring most of the time but he had started to get interesting

I really disliked that part of it. Neither in the books nor the TV series did the dragons at any point show any signs of self-awareness or heightened intelligence. They were simply mystical creatures who obeyed Dany (when they felt like it), and obeyed their animal instincts the rest of the time.

Drogon suddenly displaying awareness of the reason behind Dany's death and deciding to melt the iron throne in dragonfire before carrying her body back over the Narrow Sea just seemed incredibly mawkish and I was disappointed in Martin for using such a clichéd tactic.

my main issue with this season has been the war tactics using a cavalry charge against the walkers attacking them and not using the fact you are in a huge defencive structure wasting dragon glass on swords axes and not just making thousands of arrowheads when you compare it to the detail of other battles strategy i just found it dumb jons a seasoned war commander by then as is jorrah and a fair few others

The dragons in the books are still young, Drogon barely big enough to carry Dany out of the fighting pit. There are several references throughout the books that dragons are not just animals, they are highly intelligent, as intelligent as men nearly. Then being selfaware is no but leap. Also dragons are fiercely independent, they chose their rider and in the books need to be tamed with whips.

Drogon melting the throne was him attacking that which had cost the life of his mother. Danys obsession for the throne drive her mad, it killed her as much as Jon. And you can't blame GRRM because it's pretty assured the shows ending is not the books ending.

Though show had multiple writers, the only ones you could call main were the two showrunners, and neither of them were sacked.
