How times have changed

Canterbury

Having recently returned to online behaviour it took me back to my first endeavours plodding those chat rooms(compuserve) in search of the wonderments available.

I'm talking the 90's where things were more subtle and discrete. To have a Internet connection(dial up) was a rareaity let alone clandestine meetings from it were unheard of. Oh and no smart phones..

Is the modern way has the fun been lost because everybody wants everything instantly and puts it all on show from the off?

Notts/Derby

Think it's far better now. First time was 2003 and did have a dial-up penny a minute connection. Just thinking how long that would have taken to download a single hi-res pic gives me shivers.

I like the fact I can browse/message etc on the phone or other smart device, rather than lugging a large desktop around.

The one thing that seems to be the same is web-camming. The pictures are bigger & better now but still need the right person at the other end.

That’s how it all started for me, in the Altavista chatrooms followed by mIRC and ICQ and then Yahoo and MSN chatrooms. Good fun but I’ve enjoyed the evolution

I don't know what it was like way back in the old days of online dating.. I've never owned a computer and I didn't get into this online stuff until around 6 years ago.

Before then I used some chatline numbers where you could chat with locals, and I got to hear about online chatting through that.

I met a lady once and I can remember her telling me to "get online and you will get your cock sucked in no time"

Lol I believed her and eventually bought a smart phone.. I thought it would be so easy to meet women, but it's been crap for me.

I love the way we all communicate has evolved.

I remember MSN chat rooms and having a wonderful time - but I like how times have changed.

It all works for me too.

Seems as if people would have a lot less sexual partners without the internet
