Misophonia. It's a thing. I have to put music on every meal time so I don't have to listen to normal eating sounds, let alone unusually loud ones.

I don't go for food with anyone because I can't think of anything worse than a noisy eater.

I have to walk out of the room when one of my kids has an apple!!

It's a pet hate of mine.
