There's a reboot but it's totally different.

You can find almost any series online, it's not the same as watching something fresh, new episodes, wondering what will happen next etc.

Didn't it get a film?

I keep meaning to watch. I've tried the first episode it seemed really dated. I may give it another go as it does seem very popular despite only one season. Will be disappointed if there's a huge cliffhanger though.

Film ties up some of storyline, potential was there for more. Watch series first though, and don't think of it as sci-fi, it's more like a western set in space.
