The Land that time forgot (Norfolk)

Not in my experience but then women very rarely seem to want to be my friend anyway so it's not been a problem as such.

Yes. One of my closest friends is on here and male and I don't even get a glimmer of a clit twitch from him. Which is rare as it doesn't take much for me and he's okay looking and kind of intelligent.

I think that sometimes if you try and be friends with a man it can get misconstrued; you're interested in them or they think they are in with a chance. Sometimes I enjoy waffling to men folk with no desire for more.

One of my best friends is a woman, when we were teenagers we briefly kissed one New Year's Eve. Afterwards we looked at each other and both of us knew, we'd always be friends.

She's very much a tomboy and I prefer girly girls, I love her but certainly no sexual attraction.

I have more male friends then female. No I haven't fucked any male friends. I wouldn't. Women are more prone to being bitchy, back stabbing and love gossip. In general, men aren't like that. I want a peaceful life, so surround myself with more male friends then female.

I'm a qualified construction manager and qualified carpenter. So I remain professional even on days/nights in the pub.

The lads I used to work with, organised a surprise birthday night out for me. They're top guys and I respect them as friends. One even told me first his partner was expecting their first baby. I went to their wedding and visited baby once she was born.

It's very possible to stay friends and keep it purely as friends.

I think that is often the dilemma that some men find themselves in. Well I know it’s a dilemma I struggle with. On here it’s frequently not clear. I think clarity helps but the conversation isn’t easy. I work on the premise now that women aren’t interested in me sexually, unless they make it clear.

There and to the left a bit

To give two very clear and specific examples that we can all relate to - I count both Princess Peach (one half of Exquisite Deviance for those that don't know) and Miss Red as close and personal friends, the type of friends I can turn to with anything, and they me, the fact that that friendship is "virtual" makes not the slightest bit of difference, I consider them as close friends as any of my real life ones, in fact they probably know more about me than some of my real life ones, particularly when it comes to sexuality - I can honestly say the thought of getting naked with either of them doesn't even enter my head - they're my friends, and I don't think of them in that way in the slightest - the fact I have seen both of them exposed and naked in their pics doesn't make the blindest bit of difference either.

This is a difficult one. As friends are someone you have things in common with. And life partners are someone you enjoy doing it with. So put them together and friends could be more then friends.

Ask her how she feels about the idea of the two of you fucking like foxes. If she doesn't like the idea and asks why do you ask. Say, it was just a joke. I hope the two of you fuck like foxes. Or if by above you meant my post. There's probably copies of FHM from 1997 on eBay.

"I've been best friends with a girl for 20 years, thing is I'm now starting to get feelings for her, do I say something to her? I think she feels the same but what if I'm wrong? Don't want to ruin our friendship"

You could start off the conversation in a way that you are saying if neither of find the perfect partner you could agree to get together when you are 50, or something like that, it starts out as a joke conversation but you never know she might say why wait till we're 50?

I'm really good friends with a girl in work. She's funny, intelligent, funny, down to earth, and she's smoking hot. I fancy the pants off her but she'll only be my friend, I know it without asking and it doesn't bother me as much as it should because I wouldn't want to be without out her, if you get me lol

I agree it does always start that way but as the friendship grows that becames more important than just a quick fuck.

Yes men and women can be friends. Albeit it does depend on circumstances and expectations. Talk about these and one of two things will happen, they don't agree and you both part ways, two, you know where you both stand and start of something special.

End of the day, it's no different men with women then two guy or two ladies. Just knowing where you stand

It depends... it must be possible, but I suspect if both are single, and spend time hanging out together then more often than not one or both will secretly fancy the other. Probably mostly the guy.

I’ve had loads of great female friends, that remained as friends long after guy friends. I think that as long as there’s no attraction or, if you’d grown up together it’s doable. I also had a fwb for 6 years, we started as friends and it evolved.

So, I guess, yes, yes they can.

I am great friends with a woman I work with. She’s someone I know I can for for a pint with or go watch a film and there’s no expectation from either of us for it to be more than friends. Other people assume things are happening but hand on heart nothing like that has remotely ever happened. It’s nice to get a woman’s perspective on things.

Yes, absolutely.

In general I much prefer the company of women to men and I've had many female friends in my life who I've seen as sisters, often we've been comfortable enough to get changed in front of each other without a second thought.

I feel a little sad for people who can't be around the opposite sex without wanting to fuck them.

Surely it's pretty much like anything else in life - some can, some can't.

Same with being friends with people you've been intimate with - I'd have thought it's entirely down to the individuals involved.
