I'm stuck in bed and a convo with someone reminded me that when we were wee kids we always got Cream Soda and Spangles if we were unwell enough to be kept off school.

Oh you just reminded me i used to get paracetamol crushed between 2 teaspoons with a tiny spot of juice on spoon before i could swallow tablets

A teaspoon on honey dissolved in hot water with a slice of lemon usually. If pain was really bad we'd get calpol. No special food as such. We didn't get plasters for cuts and scrapes and I didn't understand why other parents did use them. I was bemused when a teacher tried to put a plaster on my knee after a bad fall
