Agreed. We went on Wednesday night wrong choice for lead actor slow very tedious. Was disappointed had hoped it'd live up to it's billing as I generally love films of this ilk and period.

Had Mrs FJ jumping though - That was the highlight her leaping out her seat shouting shiiiiiit immediately into a moment of silence. Holding back the laughter taking the piss as she slid into her seat I asked her to just try and mind her language

Book is pretty dire too.

The stage show on the other hand... absolutely terrifying. Went on a school trip, back in the day, and there were grown men leaving the theatre shaking. I'm pretty sure one of them was responsible for the nervous squeak part way through...
