Lay out in the garden today for a while and got fairly bad sunburn. Didn't feel it till just noe after I got out of the shower. Have very little afrersun left. Had to remove the lid Just to try get some out. Any home remedies that actually take the stinging out out of it ?

A world all of his own

Depending on how large the area, treat as you would any burn. Cool, not cold (you won't be able to manage it as long so it becomes less productive) water running over the burn for 15 minutes minimum. Repeat as necessary.

Gentlemen’s nut juice. Sprayed on the effected area and a little taken orally should do the trick

This is going to sound a bit weird but it does work amazingly well - google it if you don’t believe me.

Mix milk and ice in a bowl and soak a flannel in it then apply this to the burns.

Afterwards apply egg white directly onto the burn and leave it on.

The proteins in the milk and egg white help sooth and cool the burns and the ice takes the heat out of the skin.

Good luck - sun burn is a bugger.

I was about to say this. I believe that any form of moisturiser will help though

"Butter "

Rub in some herbs, chopped chives and a bed of baby shallots for extra tastiness.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Be careful, people. We're heading to the solstice and the skies have been really clear. Even if it doesn't feel hot you could burn.

My natural colour means I pick up a tan even with factor 50 on and the tops of my feet felt that on the way to burning tingle today, just walking around.

Thank you for the heads up.

I thought it was painful last night. I've had to come home from work early today.
