I was on page 1 a few times and my inbox exploded but from people all over the country and most were either compliments or just crude.

It didn't affect my actual chances of meeting as they didn't fit my criteria.

Erm yes my inbox exploded a bit. It added to the quantity of my messages definitely. The quality? Ach. No. Yes. No. I don't know. Do you mean quality as in a better sort of message or person? The latter I'm not sure exists as such.

There's one man who I on/off speak to who has met a few page 1ers and he's very attractive but I think he'll be sorely disappointed when/if we do finally meet. So me being on there got his attention.

I think that I'm really crap at marketing myself on this profile because I don't want to particularly meet many nor do I enjoy taking lots of photos. But I think it would be easy enough to use hot photos to help you find what you want.

I used to be on page 1 regularly on my older profile. To be honest, it was taxing. So many messages, that i missed a lot of my friends messages. Sometimes you can get a few abusive messages too. It got to the point that I stopped my pics from being fabbed at one point. I prefer to stay under the radar and plod around in the forums

One of my very first meets on here was because someone spotted me on page 1. Was the best way I found of getting meets for a while.

Haven't had a meet of off here yet, or had any of our photos on Page 1 but that's something to aim for haha! I have fab'd pictures on page 1 and then scrolled through their profile fab'd a couple more but haven't taken the leap into messaging

Have had a couple of pics make pages 2, 3 and so on recently, inbox always goes nuts! If I'm honest, I just tend to ignore them and do a bulk delete once I've disappeared into obscurity again

Made page one yonks ago and blocked men from messaging, it got beyond ridiculous!

I've had many pics on Page 1 and the volume of messages became ridiculous. I have seriously adjusted my filters now so if I post a new pic, I am able to cope with them. Being on Page 1 definitely does get you noticed but mostly by blank avatars and idiots.

I have met at least 5 guys from the Male Hot pics following me Fabbing their gorgeous photos. I've been quite lucky

I was on page 1 of the men’s 5 times with humorous photos, the most popular being ‘The Rose Varse’

It affected neither the quantity nor quality of messages, nor my ability to attract people interested in meeting me for real. It did ensure a whole range of my pictures got rejected as ‘fake’ and almost earned me a lifetime ban from posting pictures and the forum.

It’s not all it is cracked up to be for a bloke that doesn’t have a massive photoshopped willy

I wouldn't be drawn to some9ne *just* because they were on Page 1 - in fact to be honest with the majority of the regular visitors to that page (with one or two exceptions) it would probably have the opposite effect, especially those that are obviously photoshopped or who actively beg Fabs with status updates and the like - not that I am criticising those that do, if it's what floats their boat then good luck to them.

I'd also say that the type of pic that tends to get to page one, doesn't generally do a lot for me personally, and there are people who never grace that page with far better pics in my opinion, although can understand why those that do get there may have mass appeal in some instances.

Now that said, I have a very good friend and another couple of forumites I respect who are regular visitors there and they are not in the slightest bit affected by reaching those "heights" but do say the influx of messages they get when there is huge - so It's not an enviable position by the sounds of things.

I’ve been on p1 many times with pics varying from full sex to me fully dressed!

For me it’s marketing and advertising - ‘Peachy ‘ being the product!

The messages tend to be less vulgar if it’s a ‘nice’ pic like my latest one - but tbh a lot of the guys who message me are polite and respectful!

The benefit to me is that if I message a chap I fancy he’s already likely to be familiar with my profile and so will message back!

Has being on page 1 got me meets with guys I like - absolutely yes!

Does it get me lots of messages from people I’m not sexually interested in too? - of course!

Like everything else fab related - you have to take the rough with the smooth!

There's a couple of factors that play into that I think - firstly a lot of the pics that make it to page 1 are porn style pics so just perpetuate the "sex/porn site" image that some users may have.

Secondly non-site supporters can only see Page 1 which (a) continues to perpetuate the image and (b) explains why some of the regular visitors to that page continue to appear there (they get hotlisted and any subsequent pics they post and statuses begging fabs appear in ti_elines of those that have).

I've met a few page 1ers. But I knew them from the forums really. A lot of the time it is a popularity thing rather than just being "hot"

Quite often it is people marketing themselves well with status and pic updates regularly, getting themselves noticed

YES A FEW. ONE GOT TO NUMBER ONE OF PAGE ONE.

NO. I HAVE SO MANY FILTERS ON SO IT DIDN'T MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE.

Did you have any meets because your pic had heightened your visibility ?

NO.

Did it add to the quality of interest or just the volume of it ?

I THINK THE TYPE OF PICTURE NORMALLY REFLECTS THE TYPE OF MESSAGES WE RECEIVE.

I DONT THINK THE MOST ATTRACTIVE WOMEN OR THE BEST PICTURES ARE VERY OFTEN REFLEXED ON PAGE 1.

This precisely in my case!

It’s free advertising and marketing - and very effective!

To me it’s no different to flirting around on the forums (to get noticed there) or going on the daily fabbing threads! Hot photos simply has a wider audience and is a useful ‘tool’ for me both for meeting chaps and for making new friends in clubs. I’m often approached in clubs by people who’ve seen my profile due to hot photos and they’re invariably lovely people!

I have a marketing background so am adept at promoting my profile! Not for a minute do I think I’m one of the ‘hottest’ ladies on Fab because of my success on hot photos though! Xx

Interesting thread OP. I don't generally go into "hot pics" for meets. Not into the whole fabbing/fingering pics either... just not my thing.

I do know many that are into pics and have a keen interest in the whole "page 1" impact for various reasons. Won't go into details, but it does increase volume from what I hear... sometimes the quality is not the priority for some because they are not meeting anyway... it's the "attention factor" so basically all depends what that particular Fabber wants/needs...

I am going to share something that at some point some Fabbers have done... a few more then once

combining this with lurkers/stealth mode... This happened to me years ago... a proper "duh" moment:

I uploaded a pic and it was meant to be private for friends, but I accidentally put it in public! Luckily I had realised in a few mins so was not too bad

but that is all it took... inbox lit up and the looked at me page went up in numbers that was bonkers

most never saw it, but meet requests came in... some were forum users and some were profiles that just appeared... never seen/known before anywhere on Fab, but they contacted. Ninjas!

That was one of the ways how I found out there are always more "eyes" on you then you think. Plus that is me with a basic profile... so when people say/show 1,000s of messages/views, interest/winks it's all true. Especially those that have been on page 1.
