Poole

Ok, my old lady, 20 year old gaylander. Due for MOT, so had 4 new tyres, wipers, drive belt, service, bulbs ect. £300 for bits. Then needed new wish bone, part of exhust ect. So sorted and paid for. Get her back, had her half a day, bang= clutch gone.

Had a compleate new clutch front to back last June £800. So thought, it would be covered by warrentee. No! It was the bracket that failed, which broke the slave cyclinder. So not covered! So new slave cyclinder and bracket plus labour. But the kindly reduced labour costs for me. ###.grrrh.

I've put too much money into her to give her up. Can't afford anything decent. But on the bright side shes almost a brand new car. With all the parts I've replaced.

I'm just having rant and need a hug!

Big hugs.

That's some painful hit to the wallet/purse. I'm so glad I leave car stuff to the gorilla.

Oh lordy. Cars are truly hideous necessary things. Mine is as good as a new car under a now rusting exterior. We are bound together for an eternity now though !

Hugs given!!! But could do with one back.....

I have been driving an old banger until I moved the US permanently and put more money into it than it was worth as it was just easier.....

Two days before I flew out the states it chucked up a major fault - so it lasted you say - great!!

However. I am back in the UK in June and September to sort house sale and stuff and need a car!!!

Big hugs here to you, could be worse, could have 3 broken cars! My old Passat is laid up because I'm too emotionally attached to get rid of it, my 73' beetle has seized brakes, misfire and very bad clutch slip and my nice shiny skoda keeps throwing warning and service lights (but they're all my fault for modifying it lol)

Carluke

Your rant mentions structural parts. Get rid of that motor. There's likely a grands worth of suspension and stearing assembly looming.
