Pint of beer at a banks’s pub

23p in the lounge

Petrol was 57p a gallon (about 12.7 pence a litre)

Life was soo much cheaper then

Watching films on video and having to rewind the tape when you'd finished, and messing about with the tracking to get the picture right. It may be nostalgic but I don't miss it!

That was my house in Nottingham up until 2007! And when looking to buy up here 2 years ago saw one with no central heating - they are still out there!

10yrs with no central heating, moved here 3yrs ago.

New plumbing, rewired then the radiators went in

Bliss!

Back in the day

Having to get up to alter the volume, change chanel.

Getting a VHS when I was about 11.

The 'remote control' was actually on a wire.

I went head first through a glass door after tripping over it!

The phone was attached to the wall, in the big room and had a dial on the front. Not that you ever heard it ring cos you were playing out with your mates or in later years on the street corner drinking (insert cheap alcohol of choice) and trying to show off to someone you fancied, ahh, some things never change
