Just had my check up. And this time I didn't feel judged and like if something was wrong I deserved it for being honest about my sex life and being a swinger.

The last time I went was AWFUL. She nearly fell off her chair when I told her about my/our sex life. Felt very uncomfortable and this time I didn't go back to the same place. Completely different to this time. C Xx

Hiding in the shadows

I hated going to my GPs, I swear Hattie Jacques Matron character was based on the nurse there.

2nd time I went for a SH check, she asked "why are you here again" very loudly from her door after she called my name.

I wanted the floor to swallow me up

She was from gentle too

Been going to the SH clinic in town for about 18mths.

Couldn't be different, always polite, friendly.

See a lovely gay nurse, we munch jaffa cakes & have a good old chat.

I look forward to my check ups now

Its important to feel comfortable. Otherwise most people wont want to go and that's more dangerous!

In all honesty I’ve never felt judged at the gum clinic! I always tell them I’m a swinging and how many sexual partners I’ve had! I simply get given more free condoms than most! They’re invariably really pleasant!

They’ve always been ok at our clinic. Just have to mention the swinging stuff and they automatically offer all the tests instead of just the basic! Although they do a postal service now that included all the tests they do in the clinic so we opted for that this time. Ordered online. Posted off and results came same way too!
