Right! Can anyone help me. Thinking of a book I read a few years ago but can’t remember the name or author...

What I do remember is it was about two best friends, male and female. They’re complete opposites and are just really good friends. The guys ex girlfriend from high school reappears, she’s now blonde and posh. The female friend doesn’t like her, I’m sure she discovers she’s married and absolutely skint? It turns out the now-posh woman was abused growing up

At the end the best friends end up getting together (I think)

Anyone got any ideas?!

I’m pretty sure the female best friend gets back with her shitty ex throughout the novel because she’s lonely
