Both The song's are not cover version if you know the history behind house music, They were released at the same time on propose if i remember rightly, But people just seem to click with the joe smooth version more as we were going though the second summer of love and acid house, And as a old acid casual myself can remember both of the tracks,

And the best cover version of them all by a mile is The Fine Young Cannibals - Suspicious Minds as originally done by Elvis and by 15 others
