It’s a bit weird how you can be chatting so someone for a few days having a laugh and planning meets etc then all of a sudden “user not found” or “blocked”

It's wise to assume that most people that you're chatting with will not result in meets, long term friendships or relationships. Once some initial potential physical attraction and personality checks are done, it's then on to discovering more about each other, with most people not being compatible.

If the others deduce you're not compatible, or they move at a different pace to you, then communication will typicaly stop dead: this reflects the Fab rule that no communication equals no further interest.

Alternatively, if a user leaves the site etc, then you won't hear either, of course: occasionally some profiles are made by people who are inappropriate for the site, they have second thoughts, find the experience not what they expected etc.

Ultimately, especially as a single male, where there are thousands of others who may be more suited to those you're talking with, it's relevant to chat and get to know many people. Don't assume that anything is definite, even if you've had a social meet.

I suppose some get cold feet but for whatever reason, unable to be honest. For them it's probably easier to disappear from reach

Some bottle it, some have a crisis of confidence, sometimes they're a bloke posing as not a bloke, some do it for the thrill of the chase, some are afraid to turn down the meet and instead of being honest they'll block instead of speaking up. So many reasons, many we won't understand.
