Canon or Non-Canon

To all the fans of the Alien movies, do you see the movie's Prometheus and Alien Covenant as Canon or Non-Canon?

I see them as Non-Canon as they made me ask more questions than have answered plus I refuse to believe that the Xenomorph were created by an android with a God Complex.

Another good reason is that these movies are Non-Canon is because they contradict the original Alien movies. For example, the android David goes Hiroshima on all the people on the Engineering home planet so, how can one of their ships end up on LV-426 if all the engineers are dead?

It is one of the reasons why I hate prequels.

I thought Prometheus was rubbish and prefer Covenant.

However, there are so many issues with Covenant that spoil it

Indeed. In Alien, we were shown that a derelict ship had thousands of eggs and the ship's pilot (an engineer) was killed by a chestburster and had been dead for a very long time.

In Alien Covenant, we were shown that all the Engineers were wiped out and the Xenomorph was created by an android.

The sequel to Covenant is rumoured to involve engineers that were off world when David released the spores. So not all were wiped out

I think the next Alien movie should be a proper prequel to Alien without all that bullshit with black goo and an android with a God Complex.

Why would Predators hunt humans if Xenomorphs provide the most significant challenge.

Now those movies are definitely Non-Canon plus those movies were terrible. What made them terrible was that they were set on modern day Earth and not on a distant planet in the not to distant future.

I'm.a massive fan of the first three films.. everything that's come after is bullshit. Though Prometheus could have been good if story wasn't so bizarre and disconnected.

Canon = Lore. Rules of storyline/universe..

He's asking for you, as an Alien fan, where does the series Lore end. As the films don't tie up completely.
