There and to the left a bit

Will always be polite and courteous, with a healthy dose of respectfullness thrown in for me

There is however no magic formula, what works for one person won't necessarily work for the next.

Sometimes though it's not about the message content and style at all but other factors such as profile text/pictures, forum interaction, and other things - so consider those as things you can change also

Have a look at the bottom of my bio.

There's some great advice for single guys if you care to copy and paste the link.

It works for me.

Personally, I prefer an opening message to be polite, courteous with a bit of humour thrown in.

I probably get dozens of good messages everyday, but I look at profiles before even reading the message, if it doesn't tick boxes I won't even read it.

Always polite. If someone likes the look of you and you're polite then you've cracked it.

No formula. But for me, polite, personal, and talking about why they want to meet me and why I might want to meet them. It's perfectly possible to talk about sex without being grotesque.

No, you've not been here long, relatively speaking, you're not meet/ cam verified, and it's a hard slog for guys here.

Like, I'm perfectly average and only occasionally get attention in real life. On here I can be mobbed like a celebrity. (it's not a good thing, ha)

Be yourself and remember everybody on here is a person, how you normally approach people will either work for them or not.

I don't understand why you'd have to ask this question. You know that these are real people just like the ones you find out in real life? Assess and approach each person as an individual just as you would in real life.

Even with the best message and being personal to the profile, etc, if you're not what the person is looking for then you're not going to get a reply.

There are so many factors at play with cold messaging (recipient having a bad day, busy inbox, messaging friends, preparing for a meet, etc, etc) that I think it's the hardest way to make first contact. If you choose to persevere with it though, being polite (for me) should go without saying.

Being polite should be a given. You should be polite and expect nothing from it. If being polite is your only selling point, then I can see why you’re not getting anywhere.

But here's the thing - it should be no different here from the real world - and I think this is where a lot of people go wrong here, they see "sex site" and automatically think they have to behave differently somehow, that all real world values go out the window and that the rules of engagement are different - that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Just as in the real world, there will be some people here that find you attractive and an even bigger number of people that don't, or are neither here nor there about you.

Just as in the real world, people like to be shown consideration and respect.

Just as in the real world, if you're hoping to attract someone you put on your best shirt, make yourself look as attractive as possible - it's no different here, just that best shirt is your profile pics, and a level of attraction is initially formed based on your profile text.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Politeness is the way to go. Regardless of the outcome.

Why change just because people aren’t interested?

I agree, I even say 'thanks for replying' even when it's a no. Simply move on and don't take it to heart.
