When I used to deliver cars four of us left north London heading for Bedford, all in BMWs. We did the whole trip in convoy, indicating every corner, lane change, no lane hogging.

We must have fucked with so many peoples heads that day

Not on the motorway but in the middle of the city........one day as I was on the bus going to work I happened to look out the window and see the thrust world landspeed record car being hoisted by a crane onto a low loader. Not something you see every day!

Interestingly about yachts on trailers, a chap built his own boat in his front garden here.

It's still there as it was to expensive to hoist it out!

I remember someone doing this when I was growing up. Every time I went past on the top deck of the bus I would look in to see his progress. When he had finished he had it hoisted onto a low loader and taken to the canal

A dead body. He came through the windscreen of a truck travelling in the opposite direction and I was first on the scene going the other way. He ended up in the central reservation and I ended up putting a blanket over him and shaking like a leaf. A long time ago but something I will never forget

"Trains on low loaders. Why the feck aren't they delivered by rail?"

Maybe they need to get it to a certain line... not all are connected / may take too long and delivery by road is quicker / easier.

Delivery by road is cheaper. It might not be finished either.

Plymouth OYO Hotel

Are those single shoes like boots truck drivers might wear?

Drivers assistants putting their feet up out of the window...

The bottles likely are wee, from someone who couldn't be bothered to wait for a 'slash' then just tossed it out of the window...

And I'm quite ashamed to say I've eaten my dinner from a plate while driving, but never on the M40. I got the idea from Mr Bean.

believe it or not its cheaper by road due to the way our railway was privatised would have to pay track access charges

Scunthorpe

In my contracting days when I was driving 1500 miles a week, I've seen all sorts.

I've seen a Monster Truck on a trailer pulled by a 1970's mini, a Navy Battleship (or some really big boat thing), Steam trains, several different aeroplanes... but the weirdest was a Chinook Helicopter (twin Rotors thing) just driving up the road, on it's own wheels but powered by its rotors... nobody wanted to get too close to it
