I know there is a lot of stress to 'read a profile'

Here .. but some of em here are like an essay or a biography!!!

Shouldn't it be like to highlight the basics and have a lil chat about the rest.

Nobody meets after just exchanging pics and going by the profile anyway.

If you find a profile not engaging enough, it may indicate that you aren't captivated enough by the person and insufficiently focused on wanting them to be fully satisfied.

Their experience and self-awareness has likely led them to create what you may perceive as too much information - if you avoid the benefits of their experience, you're probably going to be more reason for them to need to emphasize things even more. It's somewhat insulting to want to ignore what is important to someone else, almost as if you know better or won't be bothered to focus on needs other than your own.

A badly matched meet or series of message exchanges that were potentially avoidable, isn't in anyone's interest.

What i've found is that there are too many profiles, especially female, that give off a bad vibe and are filled with complaints and ranting. I'm aware it's because of bad experiences / abuse etc. However, a negative, ranty profile certainly won't attract the intended people. Unless of course, they're looking for negative ranty people as well.

I've yet to come across a profile that has taken more than a couple of minutes to read.

Is it really that big a problem to invest a few minutes in the person you might like to fuck?

My profile is lengthy...ish, describing what I'm looking for, what I like and what I'd still like to try. It seems to work at filtering out those I wouldn't be compatible with, and has allowed me to engage in chat and/or meets with some really great like-minded people

This made me laugh. So true.

It would be great to highlight the basics then chat like human beings. But people usually make snap decisions and don't even bother replying.

So they treat other people like pieces of meat to be immediately dismissed - yet they're usually the ones crying that other people treat *them* like meat!

Judging based on profile , doesn't make sense.

But if you've the interests up, pics shared.

I don't think mine is overly ranty other than wanting a face pic with their message. The way I see it is mine are public so they already know they like the look of me. I need to be attracted to their face not text.

I'm a firm believer of not declaring my full hand in my profile. I think it's pointless as too many pretenders say what you want to hear. I'll find out over time if you're what I'm looking for. My profile seems to say enough to put most off so it works for me.

I'm not a fan of War and Peace length profiles, I generally lose interest after the first few lines.

Mine paints a picture, but certainly isn't my full hand. Those who can get and those who don't want to try reveal themselves pretty quickly.

It's always hard to find a good balance between "oh ffs really?" and a nice profile. A lot of ffs really happens on my side of the screen
