So the title will go down to the last game, Manchester City most likely winners, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for LFC

Anyway my question is....

Does football still do it for you as a sport, or is the huge money involved spoiling the sport completely?

I still like it as a sport, but the money is doling it. Making footballers into mercenaries.

It's been an intriguing season. The end of term mystery of which of the top two will make it to number one.

The fight below them for 3rd 4th and 5th, the slip ups and missed opportunities to capitalise.

The torture at the bottom and the battle to finish 4th from bottom, so much still to play for.

I think there's 3 leagues within the premier league now.

Huge money in any sport, particularly when it tips the scale for one side or another, can definitely take something away from the bare bones magic of the game. If all teams in a league were given the same budget each season and could on spend to a limit then it might make the leagues more interesting and less likely for one of 2 teams to win it year after year. I'm happy enough where its at though, big money investment into clubs brings fresh support for that club, the league and the sport which isn't a bad thing.

wolverhampton

I no longer have the passion for football that I once had. My team are in with a chance of returning to the PL via the play offs and I want that to happen but unless you’re a fan of a top team the premier league is pretty dull with the same teams at the top year in year out.

It was refreshing when Leicester won it a few years ago, but that is a feat which is not likely to be repeated. Oh for the days of a Forest, a Villa or an Everton winning it!

Worthing

I hate the monopoly the top six in the premiership have now. They have made it boring and predictable due to the way money talks. No skill in throwing millions at a team until it sticks. I don't even both to tune in to the European games any more. Apart from that I am still keen on the lower league/non-league games.

Can’t stand the simulation ( although I just call it cheating), gamesmanship (err thats cheating too), corruption and obscene amounts of money for kicking a ball about ( but don’t forget it’s a short career haha). Don’t start me on pundits: Robbie Savage, really. Michael Owen, DULL and Jermaine Jenas, laughable.
