Sugar, salt all bad for you, red meat, too much alcohol, bacon everything!!!

Let me say this one time...

Cancer gives no hoot about what you eat or drink, I didn’t smoke, I don’t drink that much a couple of bottle with wife on weekend,I don’t live a bad life, I’m healthy walked dogs for miles, I don’t have sugar in coffee or tea, then I got ill cancer got me, stress or HPV

I just want you to know, ignore what they say, enjoy life, you only get one chance to live it..

Do enjoy it!!

I know lots of people say you shouldn’t eat sugar etc, but really????

Your thoughts??

Like you, I ignore all the media hysteria surrounding 'medical expert opinion'

I have a different reason to be thankful of being alive, I'll embrace every last tasty morsel of it, while drowning in bacon fat and red wine.

I think there's value in being prudent to a point. Enjoy life, but you can still do it while looking out for yourself. You might get cancer anyway, or be hit by the proverbial bus... But you reduce your risk.

I'm rather bored of all these experts telling us everything we eat will give us cancer.

We can live our lives take our chances and hope or pray that we never get cancer, but around one in three people do irrespective of their diets or lifestyle.

That being the case perhaps we should just live our lives in a way that fulfils us, make each day the best day it can be, and remember....

We all get only one life. We all die.

It's how we live that matters most.

I'm a firm believer of everything in moderation. I don't listen to scaremongering by the media. I eat and drink what I like. Even when losing weight...I just do less of it!!!

Live for today. Tomorrow may never come x

I've had and beat cancer. I'm not about to start worrying about every little thing I do to try and prevent it reoccurring. If anything I live more for enjoyment now than I ever did before!

But enjoy a glimpse, as that’s all we get , a glimpse of time...

I do! But that's what I'm saying. I don't listen to every damn thing that comes out. But I do try to eat my vegetables and stay active, etc. It's about a balance.

I hope you all understand I wasn’t the healthiest person alive, but god I didn’t treat my body badly, I love vegetables ( not fruit) I didn’t drink only an occasional wine or pint with a meal, my job had it’s stresses, who’s doesn’t

But at some point I contracted the virus HPV.

Which 70% of adults will, however this little bug can kill you!!!

I have lost 2 sisters to cancer. One nine, one aged 44. No real fault of theirs. I also knew a few healthy types suddenly get stricken with cancer. The environment, Chernobyl, radon gas, additives...who knows? Enjoy life but don't be stupid.

I am on holiday and have found a scabby mole on my tummy. Will get it looked at when I get back. Possibly due to youthful frolics in the Sun? But who knew back then!

Oh no. I'm not blaming you or anyone. Sometimes shit happens, as it were. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop being at least a little cautious.

Ive been exchanging pics with an old school.friend for a year.when we were young out killing time as teens do,we found some wank mags in a carrier bag..we went to the nearby woods to study said material.long story short we ended up wanking then wanking each other.40yrs we do it on line.

However he is adamant that he isnt bi because he likes playing with cocks.

Is he bi or not

I try and live healthily most of the time but something’s going to get me - probably the cigarettes, the pork pies or the sunbeds. Or it could be that I trip in front of a bus tomorrow. You never know what it’s going to be so you might as well enjoy it all in moderation.

Everything in moderation is my general rule. Those who say you only regret what you haven't done, haven't done much and need to do more and they'll soon change their mind.

Yes, sadly I think cancer is random in choosing its victims (though I believe stress is a major factor)

Let’s throw a little controversy into this.

My name is Fig and I’m dying. That’s the bald facts. I have a rare disease that’s degenerative. Unless that bloody bus everyone keeps mentioning above gets me, it will be this disease. For all potential meets, I’ll just state here that it’s not communicable!

Five years ago almost to the day I was in intensive care and my wife was rooting round for the life assurance documents (ha! I’m still here and she still hasn’t got the Aston she’s always wanted ).

Today I’m well. In fact I’m the last person you’d assume was ill. Tomorrow I might start on that slippery slope to eventual death. I don’t know and the experts don’t know.

One of the biggest things I’ve found when talking to people is that they want to know how I got it. I don’t know. The experts don’t know. The best guess is it’s a combination of genetics and environmental factors.

I’ve come to the conclusion most want to know how I got it because they want to convince themselves they won’t get it. They want the reassurance that I’m at fault and it’s not a mistake they themselves would make. It’s a bit like the barebackers who convince themselves they won’t get an STI because they don’t have sex with a certain demographic.

My dad gave up smoking 12 years previously and i remember feeling annoyed at my mum for telling him not to buy a pasty because it was bad for him yet she still smoked and always kept it in her mouth all the time then she died of cancer and my dad lived 6 years longer after she had died. When she got cancer she wouldnt admit it was the cigaretes she blamed my dad for causing her stress. I think the stress she described was what most people go through though.
