MEN FFS! I need a rant

Epsom

I need to vent, cannot vent on facebook and my bestie hasn't read/replied to my text... yet...

Went away the other day with a chap I've known for 10 years or so, yes it's been an on/off funny 'relationship' started dating then turned in fwb... then I had enough pushed him away for a few years and he creeped back into my life last year...

He lives elsewhere in the world now, so last saw him last year and then earlier this week.

He took me away, spoilt me had a really good day/night etc

Just got bored started nosing on his facebook... the prick has a Girlfriend!

It all adds up now, he got a text from this person and said it was his sister... He flipped out when I took a certain photo and demanded I deleted it. Along with a few other things he said/did...

Fuck sake why the hell do men do this? they tell you they are single, yet the reality is they just use you.

Yes I am on here, yes I know the difference between a relationship and a FWB, but I'd rather my FWB were not cheating on their girlfriends.

Right now I want to send a certain photo to the girlfriend and text him and call him all the names under the sun.

Reality is I will 'disappear' block and move on.... However it hurts is fucking horrible to find this out. Yes my fault for snooping but still.

You have every right to have a rant and moan.. No matter what the circumstances of what your retionship is whether Fwb or occasional fuck etc you deserve to be treated in a certain way.. It will always be the case that from time to time we are taken for a ride or made to feel stupid both for men and women.. Its just awful when it's happening.

Sending hugs and vent as much as you want!! . Xx

Most 'single' men on here are attached in some way.

Women on here are worse. I know some women that only go after married men. I think all cheating is bad. It’s like a disease. Why would you wish to hurt someone my head can’t get around that? If people want to fuck around then be single I say.

This rant is about a man/men

If you want to rant about women/a woman who has done this, feel free to make a post. I’d hope you’d receive the same sympathetic replies. Of course all genders lie, everyone lies about something in life

I don't dispute this and the Op has ample reason for being upset. However i've found that similar behaviour isn't as harshly condoned here when the roles are reversed.

Plus why send a pic to his innocent gf, that’s just being spiteful and hurtful to the wrong person sometimes you women make me sad with your crazy ways, and that is coming from a woman!!

Yeah of course there are exceptions but I'm confident most people would agree that generally it isn't a website to start a relationship, and that other dating sites and traditional methods have more chance of succeeding with that than fab. I think that's fair surely?

This is what I find so upsetting - the fact that you feel like you're a twat for falling for his shit. You are not a twat. He is a lying, cheating, duplicitous wanker, and you are not a twat.

Block him, get rid of him from your existence, and try not to beat yourself up because HE is the lying, cheating, duplicitous, wanker. You are not.

"Did you ask him if he was single ?

Yes and Yes!"

Yep. I've read through now.

I'm guessing he said something like...... 'NO i'm not married ( truth ) or YES i'm single ( truth ) or YES i'm single ( only a lie if he's commited / living with another partner )

I have a male friend but i'd shag others. I still class me as single.

All that aside I think what he did was deceitful. I think his expectations were met and yours were not. Simple as. So it's understandable you feel stung.

Had similar happen and sadly more than once. The most recent I'd known for 7 years. Then had to deal with a woman he'd also been seeing who had only found out what I did 2 years ago, messaging and flinging all sorts at me, about him :/

When I found out and confronted him he denied it to the hilt, which was hilarious. I asked a male friend for his perspective and he gave the clearest answer "If he told you he'd off not been able to fuck you" and although it emoted many retorts he was right, the cheat in question knew my feelings on cheats so why admit to getting in a relationship whilst still swinging about on fab.

It makes you very guarded for future meets or it did and still does me, you can only believe what people tell you untill you don't I'm afraid. We can't expect everyone to have the same morales and respect for others unfortunately

Did you e orct him to dit there wait and one for you until you decided yo stop "pushing him away", or should he have just got on with his life in the same way you clearly have.

Where the hell are all the single, emotionally available men who actually want to date rather than have 'fun'

On dating sites probably

Nope! POF is full of freaks, tinder full of men who want hook ups, bumble full of people who don't reply to a message.... er not sure what other I am on..."

None of which are dating sites any more and certainly no more than this being a swingers site.

I've think as with fab, people use a particular 'sex' site or app as they want to use it. This can change over time too, and few think of leaving a site because their wants/needs change.

Members define a site and not its name.

Unfortunately the issue OP raises is nothing new and was going on a millennium or 3 ago. Nothing has changed.

She may have simply not asked. In the age of social media, it’s pretty difficult to hide a long term relationship.

I pushed him away by cutting all contact, refusing to respond to his text messages and advances. I have never initiated contact or text him first. Last I spoke to him was 2013/14 time then last year 2018, I caved in and replied to a text... wish I hadn't

It has always been him doing the chasing, He told me he was single footloose and fancy free.

It was even mentioned the other night and I said I am happy with being FWB as soon as he gets a GF or me a BF its over and he agreed and even first pumped/ high 5'd. I now know he was lying

This have happened to me twice now and I should know better... Started to see this absolutely gorgeous guy and fall in love with him. He ended everything and few weeks later while d*unk texted and asked if I would just meet him for fun and of course sometimes that’s better than nothing.. So later on I get to know he actually had girlfriend when we dated... She was size 8 and it absolutely broke me and he kept text me constantly after that another guy met on one dating sites we had fantastic conversation and jokes and I met him few times and all see. to go well but one day out of blue I was blocked.... Run into him on the same dating site few weeks later and he told me he had wife and she was about to find out.. Years later I found him on here Just unlucky like that with guys in my life.

And if they had you may be saying the very opposite now. I know of a couple of similar situations and it was a close friend who told them and in both cases they ended up also loosing their close friend over it because they got drawn into it and now no longer friends with either.

It always sounds simpler when it's not actually happened. We don't know what works we end up unearthing.

Best to say nothing and move on.

Reality, it's not about men, it's about the opportunity to look for something extra. There's plenty of ladies who are attached and without knowledge of their partner too on here. I cant believe that a relationship ship is impossible on here either, there seems to be plenty who manage. It seems to be that its honesty that matters whichever way.
