Geeks assemble

"Being a geek is all about being honest about what you enjoy and not being afraid to demonstrate that affection. It means never having to play it cool about how much you like something. It’s basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Being a geek is extremely liberating."

So come on geeks, wear that love with pride. Today is our day!

Cynicism and casual dismissal be damned, shout about the fandoms that you love.

May the fourth be with you.

Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, Warham me 40k.

Being a geek is good, being a geek is admitting to the world that you are capable of love. You love these things, be proud of that.

I dont have any particular fandom but I'm definitely a geek and proud, everyone should have a bit of geek to them. I've always been an avid gamer, lover of scifi and in the last couple of years have really got into anime which is funny as I used to absolutely hate it

I’m a space geek. I track the ISS, I get up at silly hours to watch rockets blast off into space - I spent stupid money to be as close as you could get to a Falcon Heavy launch last month. I have a telescope and marvel at celestial bodies

I'm a fan of Marvel but I haven't read the comic books so I don't know whether that makes me a genuine geek or not?

Über geek reporting for duty. My dog is named after a firefly character and I attended my first Star Trek con at 16.

I've done PA and green room for a friend who used to run conventions and have met Pinhead, Riggs, George Takei,5 Doctor Who's, half the cast of Buffy and Angel and R2D2.

Genuine geek? If you love it and you're into it, then you're a geek. You don't need to pass an exam on issue numbers or approval panel about spiderman organic webslingers...
