Lanarkshire

The left-over pickings from a roast chicken, some of my garden Leeks, delicious locally cured Ham, white wine and herby sauce (herbs from my garden & white wine from my fridge) all wrapped in home-made shortcrust pastry and baked for forty minutes in my Great Aunt's old pie tin (that is NOT a euphimism BTW)

.

Serve with the first of the garden New Potatoes (Arran Pilots) in Scottish Butter and fresh garden Parsley. Oh and a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc or three.

Heaven on a placemat.

I had a lovely pie a few years back, can't remember what it was called. It was basically a pork pie with pate on top of the meat inside the normal pastry. Anyone know what they're called?

No idea. Let's call it a pâté pork pie for now. Sounds lovely.

I think that might be a Swiss pie. Marks and Spencer used to do them years ago

Yes! It was M&S. I can't find them online though I also miss the jelly in pork pies. I think the UK is the only place in the world you can find a good pork pie.
