We had an interesting discussion about it yesterday about how people used to date back in the days in the 60s where they meet on the dance floor and nowadays where you swipe right for a date, is people now adays forgetting how to ask someone out like how it used to be?

Thank god im married and never have to go thru the experiance of asking someone out again. There would be time where that experiance could be soul distroying.

I met trim via a friend who had met him on POF, they had only spoken on the phone and she wasn't interested but said I would be. So I took his number and 7 years later we have been happily swinging and as good as married minus some paperwork.

I don’t think people are forgetting, no.

I just think technology has changed the world, and doing a lot of things online like shopping, dating, jobs etc is the new normal.

To many older people who dated the “traditional” way, it will seem weird using Tinder or arranging dates online, to some they adapt & choose to use it themselves.

In 30/40 years time, us younger folk will no doubt not understand the new technology that the youngsters will be using then either!

Some of us will be like “Back in my day we used to swipe right” and the grandkids will give us that same funny look we give our grandparents when they mention something they did back in the day that we haven’t a clue about.

Central

I want to make my selection online and have a delivery driver bring over a van full of ShagTonights and other fit guys - sending back the unsuitable ones - stuff dancing and bars.

It is all a bit throw away society today

I prefer the old way. Would hate to be doing all that dating stuff nowadays.

Dating is a relatively new concept anyway, it's bound to change.
