So it would appear these are almost defunct nowadays .. I think it was a handy nudge to let someone know you like them but it's become more meaningless as time passes. I always thought was a quick handy way to highlight your interest in someone but it's lost all meaning.

But what would you replace the function with?

My suggestion would be a tindr style match.

You click who you like the look off they will never know until you both match and then you get a notification you've matched ?

Or do you limit the amount of winks that can be sent by a user each month so they have to be more selective rather than scatter gun?

Only a idea .. any other suggestions? Answers on a postcode.

I wouldn't change a thing. The people who know how to approach others and interact on an individual basis are the ones I want to talk to, I mostly ignore winks anyway and will continue to do so thus not interacting with those who use that approach.

If you want to let him know that you may be interested.... why not..

If not interested in taking things further with said Winker then either ignore or send a polite thanks but no thanks message..

I dont really look at them, but i do wink if i see someone i like. Also handy if you come across a profile and think mmm nice and see at the top theyve winked you before

We use winks, mainly couples that seem to respond/wink back. We tend to go through the winks we receive and message profiles we like.
