Guy at work tells me today he fancies me! I’m happily married and he is married too, and I don’t see him that way at all just see him as a friend really.

My reactions was like “oh.... thanks!”

Manchester (she/her)

I'd leave it there unless he tries to do anything else. I think work is somewhere you should leave it be.

To be honest that would be my reaction too, I don’t respond well to things like this. I’d leave it be x

Central

I'd make it absolutely clear that there is no reciprocal interest. This helps to stop some thinking that they may be in with a chance. If someone persisted, I'd caution them, to stop it.

Bit odd, and a bit inappropriate unless you have that kind of flirty banter thing going on.

If he mentions it again say something along the lines of well God loves a trier but no thanks, I'm happily married.

If you dont fancy him dont leave any room for confusion.

One thing to play on the scene with your partner where everyone involved knows the score. Quite another in the vanilla world. Messy messy messy

Just pretend he never said nothing and move on as friends

Should of worded this better I just wanted reassurance and advice on what to do if anything else is said

Obviously I don’t want to be mean about it but curious about how others would deal with it if it was them and how to put him of in a nice way

Take the compliment, carry on as normal and if he mentioned it again just be honest and say thank you but no thank you. He probably won't mention it again provided you don't flirt with him.
