Three Good Things...

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

At bedtime my boys and I snuggle up in the big bed and chat about our day. We talk about things that perhaps weren't so great and things we may have found difficult or stressful. Afterwards we all list our three good things before I put them to bed, so we've ended the day on a positive note. This is especially good if you've had a shitty time recently.

What are your three good things for today?

Mine are:

Being productive. Making a list of chores and ticking them off.

Talking to friends and loved ones who always make me smile.

Seeing all the trees in blossom near my house. They look and smell amazing.

Hefty Hideaway

My dogs almost behaved themselves on the long Sunday walk.

I had the nicest uninterrupted soak in the bathtub.

My daughter did the washing up without me asking.

It’s the little things that make a truly perfect day

What a lovely op.

My three good things -

The books that my dear friend recommended to me have arrived.

My hanging baskets are looking absolutely beautiful - walking up to the front door and seeing them makes me smile.

I had a really positive phone call earlier and have had lovely messages today from friends. I feel like I've been wrapped in loving soft hugs and it's wonderful.

I really need to start doing this, when life runs at 100mph it's too easy to see quiet days as "down days" or "bad days" but there are still positives to be drawn from them even if you can't see what's been achieved.

I'm going to have a good think about my three things.

Masked and Distant

3 good things.

1. Helped celebrate St George's day. (Twice).

2. Encouraged young people to be the best version of themselves they can be.

3. Hat quality chats with my mum via text (deaf so only way to remote communicate).

It can be as tiny and mundane as you like. For example, the sparrows that live in my garden were squabbling and it makes me grin stupidly. I love watching them, it's better than Eastenders

Do it! I've had what I thought was a really hard week and doing this has made me realise that I'm actually doing much better than I thought I was.

Love this thread! What a great idea to bring positivity to every day

1. The community Easter egg hunt I organised today went so well & we raised some money for our local park

2. Having my hubby home after a spell in hospital. I missed him SO much & home wasn't home without him. Plus my girl is home happy from 2 days seeing show in London.

3. WE'RE GOING TO SEE END GAME TOMORROW!!!
