What are you guys thinking when girls ask you out? Do you like it or prefer to be the one asking a girl out?

I’m very flirty with one guy in gym and I feel a few vibes from him and just wondering should I ask him out for a drink as I’m not very patient person

I’m very shy and couldn’t do that I’m good for starting up a conversation and subtle flirting but that’s as far as I. An seem to go do I just wait to be asked if they don’t then they obviously are not that keen anyway

To save any embarrassment why not just get chatting then drop into conversation your going for a coffee or an ice cream , depending on weather and say something like , hey why dont you join me , since im buying. If hes interested he may immediately take up your offer. If he says hed like to but busy right now, youve now made it easy for the future to say , hey when are we grabbibg that coffee i promised you. If he refuses next time , take it as a not interested.

Doesn't have to be that they are not keen.

Manners, politeness and other similar things can restrain you even if there is a huge desire to do it.

If you start it up that's great

Just don't make it a full on date date if that makes sense or you run the risk of scaring him away.

quick coffee after the gym or something similar might be best.

Good luck

As a lad, being asked out is a complement, flattering and an ego boost so I recon your gym guy will lap it up but maybe you should do some fishing if you’re unsure?

That’s very good advice! There was already few times when we talked about our weekend plans when it felt like he wanted to be invited to join us so this could work wonderfully

In my foolish mans mind I never actually realised there were women who won't ask a guy out based on some internal lady logic even if they really like him..... ....can't just be me thinking that though, so on that basis there must be a tonne of frustrated ladies out there.... Defo ask him, it's like Dr Pepper innit!

Definitely ask him, if he says no then he says no but you have to risk being rejected or nothing would ever happen, personally I love when a lady asks me out, it shows confidence and it's just nice isn't it

Hard to say. Does he initiate convs with you? Does he work to make you laugh? Does he tease you a bit? Does he find excuses to work out near you? Has he ever put his hand on ur arm/elbow/,shoulder?

You have to consider that he might be aching to make the first move, but, just like yoursel OP, lacks the confidence. Its not uncommon in men. It took me years to grasp the "Feint heart never won fair maiden" idea. Then eventually i just thought, fuck it whats the worst that can happen? Its not like your in the schoolyard and everyone will point and laugh at you being rejected. And he wouldnt be rejecting you. He might already be seeing someone or has designs on someone else. Believe me, you WILL regret it eventually if you dont ask. I look back at my own past and its full of what ifs.

He inniciates convos and we do have a good laugh. He always comes to sauna and hot tub to sit near me and we can have a chat. I have met him only now 4 times really he have never put his hands on me bet i did notice in hot tub when we are talking his legs are pointing at me and we have those moments when you look into each other’s eyes and kind of get shy and just smile.

Just do it. Nothing to lose.

Ask him to a bar or whatever, some gyms have a smoothie bar or similar - post workout or sauna meet up in there and chat away.

I took a huge poll of 5 of my female friends and none of have ever and would never ask a guy out. They're too scared of rejection. They don't know what they're missing!

Asking someone out is scary for everyone! Just do it!
