Currently had to go sensible and go for a dad car. Swapped my type R out for it which I loved!

Had a pretty ridiculous audio car before that which I also miss!

I'd class myself as one, had 5 cars over the past year or so. 3 of which have been BMWs which I loved. Currently on a Subaru with 330bhp which is fun but always want more.

Need to get my bike test done too so I can upgrade my 125 to my 650 in the garage

I promised myself another one, but the FK2 just isn’t coming down in value! I wanted them to come under £15k before getting one.....they’re holding at around £19k

How often does it break?

I’ve never known a guy who is good at fixing Subaru’s who isn’t always fully booked, hilarious cars but they are bloody awful for breaking

I'm on the look out for a nice EP3 that I can track, always seemed to have preferred older cars to the new ones. Goes for most car models to be fair, personal opinion obviously.

Funnily enough I've owned it 20k miles now as my daily and only thing that's broke was an O2 sensor which was an easy fix.

I just avoid doing hard launches and it's fine, always rolling starts

Currently got a BSA Lightning sat in the garage which might be a bit of fun, but will probably lack the 'need for speed' and will cave for a nice naked bike, not a fan of sports.

(did think about buying a H2R on release as an investment, probably should've)

Z1000sx is a good modern all rounder. That engine goes like a missile. But for me was a bit too upright i need a more forward lean to take weight off my back.

Just buy something that will be forgiving if you make a mistake instead of wanting to spit you off every 2 minutes. Like anything when you first graduate to a bigger machine you will always make tiny errors till you gain experience and confidence.

The sv is a great all rounder bike that isn't itching to kill you.

OK if you want my honest opinion I'd do a bit longer on the sv650 or go to a zx6 or a gixer

Avoid the r6 it's not a good bike in my humble opinion the zx6 far outweighs it.

You want something comfy and smooth and not snatchy with a good power ratio so you don't easily get bored. Get your miles clocked up before playing with the nutter bastard bikes.

Or the nutter bastard riders, ride within your limits not past them there will be many more years once you have experience under your belt. Sorry I'll Shurrup now

R6 is 100% meant to be on a track its a very nice maxhine but horrible on the road. Every bump wants to take it off course and its pretty underpowered in the bottom half of the rev range.

Yes, cars and bikes too.

The Mitsubishi is a great choice, the Japanese manufactures were really on top of their game in the 1990s and part of the fun is digging out the less well known cars.

They’ve done it more recently with the spaceship Honda Civics too, while everyone else is buying Audis and BMWs, Honda come up with the Type S Civic that’s not quite as bonkers as the R but just mad enough while still subtle.

Just got to keep on top of the oil with them. And get some uniroyal rain sport tyres on the front! They are horrendous for corners when its even slightly wet.

The difference between a S and an R is fantastic, the type S is only a trim level. They’re no faster than the standard models, they’ve just got a few extra sporty bits stuck on.

Don't think I'll ever sell it, too much fun, love it when the vtec kicks in "

Have a look online at the turbo conversions

£7000-£8000 will get you a 500bhp or 700bhp type R

TDI north built a couple and they are beyond ridiculous

"Life long petrol head here. Had 4 magazine features 2 of which were front covers of previous modified cars. Now have a semi sensible daily and an E46 M3 track car that I've just had a roll cage and new seats fitted too ready for this years track day events.

OMG I bet that's stunning!!!!

I'm waiting to get it vinyl wrapped as I'm competing in a charity road rally around Europe in August. Hopefully will be done in time."

If you need a co-driver just holla!!

My motorbike is off the road atm. God I miss riding! Followed a few bikes down to the beach last weekend, and was actually CRYING because my bike is fooked. I would get one that works if I had the dosh - but I don't. Not riding is very physical for me. It physically hurts when I can't. Also it helps my mental health a lot. It's about the only thing that takes me out of my daft head.

So I totally get the petrol head vibe. Grew up around racing cars and rally cars. Swear it's genetic!
