Simply unwanted or unsolicited attention is harassment.

If the attention is enjoyed or appreciated then all is good.

exactly. So when it's someone you would consider ugly its obviously unwanted. But can we not take this post too serious as it was tongue in cheek

An attractive guy could harass me just as easily as an ugly one. In fact, ugly ones are sometimes more likely to hear/ respect no.

A hot sexy bloke can be worse as their sense of expectation and entitlement swells their ego... Though a sweaty, ugly, smelly man with a bulbous red nose just saying hi can be just as bad

If I had one either side say, in Wetherspoons on a Wednesday lunchtime, I'm probably more likely to allow the good looking one with less brain cells to nick a chip than the other. I think.

I think it's true that a person will call it harassment far sooner if whoever is responsible is perceived as less attractive.

Same goes for women flashing. Attractive woman = fine.

Unattractive = not fine

The keyword is "attractive".

So, it might be different from one to another.

One wexy bloom might be ugly to others and thus fine to some but not fine to others?

Then you can't tell shit.

If someone ( male or female ) doesn't want sexual attention there's no more to be said.

It becomes harassment if it's repeated after the person makes it clear they are not interested.

It's not harassment until it's made clear it's not wanted.

If someone I don't fancy makes a pass at me they haven't harassed me.....

"How do I report harrassment if they message me then block me?"

You can still report them by clicking the profile.

The top bar menu still comes up above the you can’t view this profile message.

Press on the options and then report the same as any other.

A lot of people on here like the constant barrage of messages, if they didn't they would simply block after the first message they received from someone not to their taste.

There’s some truth to the Op. If a handsome guy was talking about sexual things to me or being suggestive I’d go along with it and have a flirt. If it was a guy I wasn’t attracted to I’d tell him to shut the fuck up.

"A lot of people on here like the constant barrage of messages, if they didn't they would simply block after the first message they received from someone not to their taste. "

Problem I find is if I block every guy I don't think I want to meet on the first instance, which could be any reason, even for having an too new profile with no photos to share, I be constantly blocking. My block list is too long as it is. So now I just block people who keep messaging after I said no and I haven't changed my minds about them. Occasionally I do change my mind about people, especially if they made the effort to improve their profile etc

Don't think a person's attractiveness makes any difference, harassment is simply communication with someone in any form when it's not welcome.

"Simply unwanted or unsolicited attention is harassment.

Harassment is unwanted behaviour which you find offensive or which makes you feel intimidated or humiliated. It can happen on its own or alongside other forms of discrimination. Unwanted behaviour could be: spoken or written words or abuse. offensive emails, tweets or comments on social networking sites.
