Admit it, we’ve all got a favourite hob ring on our cooker, mines front right. The back left I never use. Which one is yours ?

I go for front right too. I wouldn't say I favour it, I've never deliberated my choice. It was like an automatic thing.

If this gets to 175 I'm leaving the site.

Yeah that’s a good one, it’s bigger than the front right, but sees plenty of action too.

Front right on our cooker is the low flame, I use that for porridge in the morning and simmering. Back right and left are medium flames, I use those for potatoes and vegetables. Front left is high flame I use that for pasta. I rarely use the wok burner in the middle it scares me.

I love this thread. Can we talk about which oven we use most, large left or smaller right or is that going too far?

Clearly I don’t have a fancy hob, mine is a big massive bulky affair with massive irons on that are caked in grease and stuff (the people that worked here before us didn’t give two shits about cleaning it!) oh and changing the fucking foils underneath all the burners and taking the whole thing apart every fecking week to clean it!! I miss a normal hob, clean and go!!

Although I’m looking forward to Christmas and making use of all my knobs and burners!! I’m going to crank all that shit up!

Front right is my "go to" hob ring.

Front left gets occasional use.

Back right and back left might as well not exist.

Sea of jelly and doughnuts

Back left... Favourite for heating my milk (like to froth it up for an oat milk Cappuccino)

Its a double boiler, so I tend to use the smaller inner ring as it fits my small milk pan.

Front left is for cooking rice, this one is medium sized and fits all my pans.
