Social meets

Hi all,

I like to think I have manners and know how to treat a lady (opening doors etc.....) however I have a question.

What is the general consensus on social meets and how you settle the bill? The good mannered me thinks I should pay.

Answers on a postcard please.

Social meets are good, I've really enjoyed every one I have had, at times more than sex meets

And about the bill it depends where you have been? A meal? Couple of drinks? Pictures? Barbados

I always pay. My thinking is the lady forks out on hair,make up etc (well most do) so I like to pay for the night

Depends on how the social went. If they were insistent and I was looking to meet them again, I would let them and pay the next time. If they have travelled a fair distance to me, I pay.....

I generally find that we find a way of splitting the expenses equitably. There has been occasions where I’ve treated the person I’m meeting as it was special occasion, as a I might do for any friend.

I only have a drink on the rare occasions I've done a social. I would expect whoever invited the other out to the social to get the first drink. Then the other get a 2nd one. I wouldn't have food or if I did I'd pay my own x

It's never a question for me, even if I was out with just a mate, I'd offer and maybe we'd fight over it, but always offer, it's hardly gonna set you into remortgage territory....

In general to keep it as a social then go Dutch. If inviting on a date then instigator should pick up the bill?

I'd offer to pay, if she offers to split I'd 'gently' insist, if she insisted harder I'd split.

Good to offer, but don't patronise by refusing to accept the split - she probably earns her own decent money!

My fingers aren’t fat, they are slender but it could still be inaccuracy of my thumb placement

Regardless of the type of meet from here I always like to split the cost evenly - leaves no sense of expectation or obligation that way

If out drinking, it’s a take it turn for the rounds. Dinner would be a 50/50 split

Hi

we always prefer to meet couples or singles first for a social it breaks the ice you ger a feel and when the banter rolls it gets you up for fun and is all part of it for us x

If we are in a club again bit of banter then game on all good fun x
