I once crashed an electric car at a school fete.

No children were injured!

No costs incurred!

I was sweating for a mo!

My sisters friend who worked at the school said don't worry about it...and took management of the situation.

I can't drive, I presumed it would work like a Kart, it worked like a car!

They hadn't found no one to drive it so I had offered my services!

I turned the key, put my foot down and it felt like I was riding an uncontrollable beast, I went right into a pillar!

The one thing I considered after is how could there have been no comebacks or investigation?

Did that school have this type of thing happen all the time?

It was one of the all time smoothest exits from shit! I even stayed on a while at the fete!

I was in a hit and run on a bike. The last thing I remember was the driver peering out of his window to see if I was alive, then I went out, he drove off.

The next thing I rember was the copper reading me my rights before giving me the b test in hospital, this was before I'd seen a doctor.

Funny old set of priorities we have in this country.

A world all of his own

I think I've had about 5 or 6 crashes in 26 and a half years of driving, but none since 2003. I've calmed down a lot lol, and learnt to drive to the surroundings.

Two incidents involving pushbikes

I was couriering riding in wet weather with a unfixed brake slid about ten yards forward on the bike and grabbed for something to stop me. Stopped myself by grabbing the wing mirror of a works van. I busted the mirror but the guys in the van thought it was the bad weather. Needless to say that was me done for the day! I got the brake fixed. The other knocked off by a car coming from a side street when I had right of way. It was a very wide street bright Summers evening, how could he not see me. Turned out he was collecting ingredients for the dinner his Wife was making, and had no tax or insurance!

Hiding in the shadows

I learnt to drive before I started school!

A tractor on my grandads smallholding.

I passed my test, a week after my 17th birthday, after 2 lessons with an instructor.

I've driven, vans, lorries, tanks & buses since. I've raced Scoobies off road.

I have never crashed any vehicle, unless you count banger racing.

5yrs ago, Good Friday 18.40hrs someone went into into the back of me, while sat in traffic.

I couldn't report to the insurance as closed for bank holiday

Tuesday morning, dropped kids at school, going home to call RSA, 08.40hrs reversed onto my drive.

Some idiot flew round the bend, lost control, across several lawns & directly into me.

My car was only 3wks old, a replacement for the one written off when a lorry had taken the entire drivers side out, while parked outside my sons school!

My insurance company joked, I'm OK moving it's when I'm stationary I'm a hazard!

Nope i felt a wobble from the back of the car and the next thing I know I'm flying up the embankment about to hit the bridge. At that point I just thought "Fuck I'm done"!!

In a town Fab forgot

Two car accidents, one bike.

Triumph Herald, up and embankment on a blind bend, 3 foot drop into the field below, painful.

Mercedes, upside down, 140 mph, interesting.

Triumph Bonnevile chop, ice, foot on the tarmac, whoooooooosh, HSB, sobering.

hoorn, Netherlands

Only the one. Someone turned into a road inwas coming up doing almost 30 and they took the corner so wide that their driver side front hit my passenger side front. I'd only fitted a dash cam two days before, I dont know whether I joined myself or was lucky as I had it all recorded. All you hear is my brakes screech to a stop, they dont brake at all, then they hit and I just shout 'what the actual fuck'
