I really don’t understand it, had a guy message me saying he’s straight but would like to play one on one with a guy. So I said buy your profile says straight not bi or bi-curious and he went off on one. Is it just me who thinks people need to be honest with themselves? Rant over

We create our own reality

If perceptions changed, if attitudes changed, then maybe some of these guys would feel better about being 'open' ?

It is often passed off as dishonesty or as game playing with a carefree waft of the hand

There is, of course, an element of this

Some guys would also shag a damp loaf when they are horned up

However, for many guys in this position, fear, dread and self-loathing often drive the choice of label

It's rarely black & white

Wouldn't put me off in the slightest but then..well you know

As others have said an interesting question from the perspective of a straight guy - my guess is the answer you'd get on here would be an overwhelming no, and that answer would probably be more to do with the scarcity of meets for some than anything else.

I don't get this either. There is fab guys which is set up for men to meet other men and if this what one wants to do there is an ideal environment in which to do it.

As a bi man in a swinging relationship, I have a fabswingers couples profile for us to meet other couples, a fab singles profile to meet single women on my own and a fab guys profile to meet men.

As a bi guy on fab single males are usually blocked from messaging me. If I were straight they would definitely be blocked.

Sites like this work best if everyone is able to make INFORMED choices and to do this everyone needs to be honest on their profiles! That way we are more likely to meet someone that is suited to us and the more compatible we are the better the sex............

I’ve been down on a lady more than once and several ladies have given me oral, THAT MAKES ME BI not curious or straight as I enjoy it and have been back more than once, guys need to be honest with themselves

Sexuality is fluid and for some guys the risk of being outed in the vanilla world as being bisexual, is too big to take. I have recognised people from the vanilla world, local to me, I would not want to know that I bi.

Unfortunately not all guys can be open about their sexuality. So don't be too harsh to judge.

That's rubbish - there are *some* that won't but in my experience a heck of a lot more are either not in the slightest bit bothered by it, or actively seek bisexual guys.

A recent forum survey (which admittedly had a smallish sample) showed that something like 94% of people who responded were either not bothered or looked for bi guys.

The whole "most women won't meet bi guys" thing is largely a myth perpetuated by guys looking for something to blame for their lack of meets other than themselves.

I agree with this from personal experience. I do, however come across people who quote NHS statistics that bi guys are riddled with STDs and won't meet them for that reason.

A straight guy will have sex and relationship with a woman.

A bi guy will have sex and relationship with a man or a woman.

A gay guy will have sex and relationship with another man.

A straight guy fooling around with a guy and never ever having any thought in his head of going on romantic dates with them, living with them, and marrying them, is just a horny straight guy.

I think that's an old fashioned definition of bisexuality.

For instance is a person who doesn't want a relationship at all asexual? Even if they have a different sexual partner every night.

I have no interest in having a relationship with another guy. You'll have a hard time convincing anyone I'm not bi.

I don't think it would be that hard. I think fully bi people who date other men would not take a lot of convincing to think you are just a horny guy and not bisexual, or just bi-curious.

I think the old fashioned view is the one where it is based 100% only on what happens in a bedroom. Crossing swords doesnt make you bi, holding another mans dick doesnt make you bi.

"Maybe they are "bi-curious" curious? what's the difference between bi and no curious?"

It varies by individual definition - but for me it does what it says on the tin i.e. bi-curious - never been sexual with someone of the same sex but are curious about it

Bisexual - have been sexual with someone of the same sex and would do it again

Simple yet effective

The Land that time forgot (Norfolk)

"A straight guy will have sex and relationship with a woman.

A bi guy will have sex and relationship with a man or a woman.

A gay guy will have sex and relationship with another man.

A straight guy fooling around with a guy and never ever having any thought in his head of going on romantic dates with them, living with them, and marrying them, is just a horny straight guy.

Totally disagree with that last paragraph "

Me too

"Love it when a woman says "NO BI GUYS".

When you look at her veri's most are from so called straight guys who have messaged me wanting to fuck."

Not sure why you would love it, I would feel sympathy for her that she's been misled.

"Maybe they are "bi-curious" curious? what's the difference between bi and no curious?

It varies by individual definition - but for me it does what it says on the tin i.e. bi-curious - never been sexual with someone of the same sex but are curious about it

Bisexual - have been sexual with someone of the same sex and would do it again

Simple yet effective "

Makes sense

That will be the self satisfaction that he knows something they don't...

Alot of women on here state "no bi guys" and when you look at their veri's most are from straight guys who've messaged you wanting to meet.

"A lot of women won’t meet bi or bi curious men, hence why they say straight on their profiles.

Does it put guys off do you think if the woman has met bi guys?

That sounds like a thread in its own right...

It does but nobody will be honest. And the ones that do will get grief. It’s not worth it. Sad but true "

Has anyone done a thread asking this? Interesting question but I doubt most people would be honest, for exactly the reasons you say.

"Sexuality is fluid and for some guys the risk of being outed in the vanilla world as being bisexual, is too big to take. I have recognised people from the vanilla world, local to me, I would not want to know that I bi.

Unfortunately not all guys can be open about their sexuality. So don't be too harsh to judge. "

Also I bet if a man says he's bi he'll be inundated with messages from horny men. If he puts straight it will cut down the desperate messages.

Actually from personal experience and what I read on the forums the direct opposite is true.

I'll occasionally get a message despite being openly and comfortably bisexual and making it clear on my profile I'll meet guys, but honestly can't remember the last time I got one of those and know I'm not the exception from what other guys like me have said - yet we regularly see forum posts from straight guys moaning about guys contacting them.

I don't understand how ppl get so upset about sexuality. If a guy asks another guy to play then he's interested, isn't that what matters? Don't go scaring all the shybi's away by asking for ID at the door.....

Just an opinion on the moist mist.... Yw
