Invade other countries, enslave their people, force them to adopt our ways, strip them of their resources and brag to the world about what a Great Nation we are. Long live the Queen!

Not far

'Saint George was a soldier of Cappadocian Greek origins, member of the Praetorian Guard for Roman emperor Diocletian who was sentenced to death for refusing to recant his Christian faith'. So like yeah what's he got to do with England? In fact he's a European which is ironic that there's so much St George flag waving by Brexiteers.

Ive just read on the itv news pages that the Church of England has ‘confirmed’ that due to it being Easter week that St George’s Day actually falls next Monday

Pretty sure an ex great uncle of mine who was in his 70’s and birthday was today always had his birthday actually on St George’s Day (I mean obviously his birthday is always on 23rd but I mean it’s still actually St George’s Day!)

None of this makes any difference to the fact that Saint George is the patron Saint of England. And, as it happens, St.Andrew never visited Scotland, St.Patrick was Romano-British and St.George's Day was a public holiday in England during the middle ages.

Every day is a school day!

Just learnt that today...

So though yesterday was 23 April.. Apparently it won't be celebrated till yo say 29th..some thought it would be 28th but another Saint takes precedence..
