My best bargain was on my last trip to Turkey..

Went to buy a small hand luggage. Came across a Louis Vuitton bag. The guy at the shop offered me £80 for it & i ended up paying £14.

I walked away and he called me back to buy it. Lol

I prefer the ‘get it for free and sell it on’ bargains.

In the last 18 months I’ve sold some amps destined for the skip for around £2k, some ‘old cables’ (which I knew were specialist fibre optic) left behind after an event that my boss was about to bin, for just under £1k and have a couple of clocks I blagged that are worth upwards of £500 each.

I do fairly well out of other people’s lack of knowledge and apathy

The Land that time forgot (Norfolk)

Went on holiday to Thailand two weeks ago, the hotel had double booked our already upgraded room so upgraded us further free of charge to a private villa with its own pool, also included a nicer restaurant and better bar service

I love bargains and I am always attracted to the sales signs. I dont tend to bother with food bargains, I wouldn't go specially for them, but everything else.

I tend to buy designer items secondhand and have had some great bargains. I have two Mulberry handbags which dont look as if they've been used at all. They both cost me around £200 each which is a fraction of their cost.

I've never been lucky enough to find an expensive item in a charity shop yet but I always look and I live in hope.

A cashmere wool coat.

It was nearly £400 in a local department store, I loved it, but £400? No

I waited for the sales, and the further sales, then the final sales

Even then I still couldn't justify spending that much on myself.

Meeting a friend for coffee, stood outside a charity shop.

Glance in the window...

I think I may have squealed.

Walked out 10minutes later, with my coat, brand new, never worn, tags still on it

sorry to burst your bubble but thats what the supermarket filling stations do take £1 to make sure card is valid then at a later date take the amount per fuel cost...i hope im wrong for your sake..lol

I bought a brand new dress in a charity shop that still had its labels on. Was £69.99 I got it for £8.95, its one of my favourite dresses. 80% of my clothes, shoes and bags are bargains I have found in the sales. I love a bargain!!

M&S outlet locally always have fab bargains! Advantage of being size 24, the bigger clothes are always cheaper. Twin pack of fancy knickers were £1 each down from nearly a tenner, 3/4 cargo pants, £2.50 from £15 but my best two were leather look skirt and leggings, both down from £45 to £4 each!!! Love that place

Best deal I managed was an on-line offer for a Laser Printer. One of those cash-back offers when you send in the receipt. Combined it with a an on-line discount offer. Wasn't expecting it all to be honoured but it was. Ended up £10 in pocket with a free Multifunction Colour Laser printer!

Company has a policy on how long left items are held before disposal, boss was happy to not have to pay WEEE fees to get rid of them.

MD gave me the clocks as a favour for sorting something out for him that wasn’t my job as he knows I’m a watch geek.

I went wedding dress shopping with my sister when she was planning her wedding. One bridal shop we had arranged to visit had her perfect dress, when I looked at the price I wondered if there had been a mistake as it was marked up at £150.

I spoke to the girl who was working and queried it, she appeared to be a bit clueless and just said if that's what the tag stated then that was the price. Fair enough I thought, but I was convinced she was wrong so I bought the dress for my sister there and then and quickly left.

Later that day my sister received a phone call from the shop to say that we had been given the wrong advice and that the tag had been written up wrong and should have stated £1500. They were really good about it actually as they knew it was their error, they just wanted to let us know.

My son is notorious for scuffing his school shoes, right above the toes, found black shell toe shoes on Amazon for a tenner, I bought him some Clark's school shoes once, bought them on a Saturday, they were scuffed to hell by Tuesday so £10 rather than 50 does a better job, just need some hair bobbles that don't vanish into thin air now for my step daughters and I'm set lol
