Afterthoughts

on the road to nowhere in particular

Quite often when I’m in a conversation with someone I have an afterthought. It’s easy when talking to add it into the conversation but when messaging of for example chatting to someone on here if I have an afterthought I’m not sure what to do? If it’s someone I know it’s easy to send a second message but what do I do if it’s somebody new? Do I wait until the message back or do I send a second message regardless? Is the second message ok to send or is that seen as harassment and too needy?

What do you do?

I'd send it - if it's worth saying, it won't look like you're being over eager

.

Just send it. I don't see it as needy if you're having a conversation with the other person.

Trying to remember stuff to tell them the next time around is a ball ache.

If it's an afterthought then it's related to the last message so I wouldn't see that as needy.

Central

I generally prefer one concurrent message, so hold on to an after t, or let it go. If it was to correan important error, I'd send straight away, of it could offend, without it.

I say something stupid so send another message to clarify I wasn't being offensive.

That message usually digs me deeper and sounds worse so I send another to apologise.

That sounds insincere so I send another message to explain.

Then I send another message to apologise for saying sorry too many times.

The next message says I know I sound a bit crazy but I was just trying to dig myself out of the hole.

The final message says "i luv u xxxxxxx"
